Requirements:

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Lead the technical team in sample development (Proto, Fit, SMS, PPS).
∎ Evaluate and improve garment construction, finishing, and costing feasibility.
∎ Ensure all samples meet buyer technical specifications and fit requirements.
∎ Conduct risk assessments on new styles and advise design/merchandising teams accordingly
∎ Introduce new construction techniques, machinery, or process innovations to reduce cost and improve quality.
∎ Set up and continuously improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for sampling and development.
∎ Work with machinery suppliers or tech partners to adopt lean and efficient garmenting technologies.
∎ Supervise pattern-making, CAD operations, and grading for size sets.
∎ Guide pattern correction based on fit comments and ensure quick turnaround.
∎ Lead fit sessions with buyers or internal teams and ensure on-time submission with quality standards.
∎ Build and lead a high-performing technical development team including pattern masters, sample room in-charges, and technicians.
∎ Conduct regular training and development for technical staff.
∎ Review team KPIs related to sampling timelines, rework rates, and first-time approval ratios.
∎ Review and analyze tech packs, provide early-stage input to buyers to align development with production capabilities.
∎ Attend buyer meetings for technical discussions, costing negotiations, and product walkthroughs.
∎ Communicate with merchandising to align development timelines with production lead time.
∎ Ensure smooth transition of styles from development to production.
∎ Provide technical handover and support to production and quality teams.
∎ Troubleshoot any technical issues arising in bulk and provide solutions promptly.
∎ 1) Product Development & Sample Management:
∎ Lead the technical team in sample development (Proto, Fit, SMS, PPS).
