Educational Requirements:
∎ Master of Science (MSc)
∎ Minimum B.Sc and M.Sc in Environmental Science/ Environmental Engineering or related discipline reputed local or foreign university, with CGPA 3.50 and above or equivalent
∎ At least one foreign degree/ diploma relevant to the subject
∎ Track record of providing services to some leading national or international companies
Experience Requirements:
∎ 9 to 14 year(s)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
Environment engineer, Environmental Compliance, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Management System
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
Garments, Group of Companies
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsibilities include, but are not limited to -
∎ Plan, lead and manage the Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) and Sustainable Finance activities / initiatives of Bitopi Group to support the sustainability priorities of the industry
∎ Set KPIs and manage team in the delivery of ESG and sustainable finance goals
∎ Liaise with the management of Bitopi Group and actively mentor and coach team members to their highest potential
∎ Design and maintain educational programs to continually develop skills of the Bitopi Group team, as well as for the industry professionals
∎ Support stakeholder relationships and steer development initiatives / projects
∎ Undertake researches pertaining to the ESG priorities within the scope of textile and garment industry; prepare business cases, presentations, fact-sheets, etc.
∎ Respond to queries and provide tailored services to Bitopi Group’s member factories on ‘as and when required’ basis
∎ Generate Sustainability report and SDGs report every year
∎ Any other assignment as assigned by the management of Bitopi Group.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 32 to 50 years
∎ Profound ESG, SDGs and sustainable financing knowledge and experience, particularly within the textile and RMG industry
∎ Through understanding of the national and international policy issues, particularly environmental rules, regulations, convention and treaties, and audit standards
∎ Knowledge on contemporary global and national environmental issues (Climate change, circular economy, waste management etc.)
∎ A thorough understanding about national and international green finance avenues and due diligences
∎ Through understanding of environmental management system
∎ Understanding of environmental reporting systems and structures
∎ Team player, self-motivated and initiative taking, dedicated, creative, resourceful, flexible, energetic and sound judgment
∎ Sound time management with full understanding of matrix management and organizational skills with the ability to handle and delegate multiple tasks
∎ Ability to coordinate and build strong relationships with clients and external stakeholders
∎ Be able to cope with pressure, flexible and adaptable
∎ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
∎ Fluent in Bangla and English (Both verbally and written)
