Experience:
Must have computer literacy in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word along with sound knowledge about the use of internet and emailing.
Must be able to control different food sections like patient food, bakery and snacks, regular and special lunch and dinner meals.
Lead, manage, and mentor a diverse team of culinary professionals, including chefs, assistant chefs and cook helpers.
Collaborate with the hospital`s dietitians and nutritionists to design meal plans that meet patient health requirements.
Oversee the preparation and presentation of meals for patients, ensuring dietary restrictions and preferences are met.
Manage kitchen operations for the hospital cafeteria, ensuring a high standard of food quality and service.
Develop and implement menus that cater to the specific needs of patients, staff and visitors, focusing on nutrition and taste.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain hygiene standards across all kitchen operations.
Monitor inventory, manage food costs and ensure efficient use of resources.
Train and develop kitchen staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and excellence.
Handle administrative duties related to the kitchen, including scheduling, budgeting and procurement.
