Job Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Chef and senior chefs in preparing and cooking meals according to the standard recipes.

• Wash, peel, cut, chop, and prepare vegetables, fruits, meat, seafood, and other ingredients.

• Prepare basic dishes, sauces, soups, salads, desserts, and side dishes as instructed.

• Ensure all food is prepared and presented according to the hotel's quality and hygiene standards.

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, workstations, equipment, and utensils.

• Follow food safety, and personal hygiene regulations at all times.

• Store food items properly and ensure correct stock rotation.

• Assist in receiving, checking, and storing food supplies and kitchen inventory.

• Operate kitchen equipment safely and report any faults or maintenance issues.

• Support chefs during breakfast, lunch, dinner, buffet, and special events.

• Minimize food waste and use ingredients efficiently.

• Wash kitchen utensils, cookware, and maintain a clean working environment.

• Work as part of the kitchen team to ensure timely preparation and service of meals.

• Follow instructions from supervisors and perform other kitchen-related duties as assigned.

Skills & Requirements

• Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques.

• Understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety practices.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced hotel or resort environment.

• Good teamwork and communication skills.

• Physically fit and able to stand for long hours.

• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

• Previous experience in a hotel, resort, or restaurant kitchen is preferred.

• Must be fluent in English.
