∎ Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
∎ MBA or PG Diploma in Operations / Supply Chain Management (preferred)·
∎ 15+ years of experience in manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role·
∎ Experience in a consumer durable or appliance manufacturing company (especially fans)

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Ensure that daily, weekly, and monthly production targets are achieved efficiently and consistently.
∎ Drive efficiency improvements by implementing lean manufacturing practices, monitoring KPIs such as OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), downtime, cycle time, and yield.
∎ Strategize and implement initiatives to reduce waste and improve process throughput across all departments.
∎ Monitor and control factory overhead costs, including energy, utilities, indirect labor, and consumables.
∎ Ensure strict control and optimization of the factory budget, including monthly review and variance analysis.
∎ Oversee procurement, usage, and inventory of all spare parts, tools, and consumables to ensure cost-effectiveness and availability.
∎ Ensure timely availability of raw materials, components, and spare parts to meet production schedules.
∎ Oversee manpower planning, recruitment, deployment, and productivity tracking for all operational staff.
∎ Maintain optimal staffing across shifts while ensuring skill availability and labor efficiency.
∎ Ensure product quality standards are met or exceeded at all times, working in close coordination with the QA/QC teams.
∎ Enforce compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards, conducting periodic audits and training.
∎ Lead root-cause analysis for any non-conformities or safety incidents and ensure effective corrective actions.
∎ Oversee the preventive and breakdown maintenance of all plant machinery, tools, and infrastructure.
∎ Lead, mentor, and monitor the performance of all departmental heads and key supervisors in the operations team.
∎ Prepare and share regular reports with top management, including operational performance, cost savings, efficiency initiatives, and improvement plans.
∎ Position Purpose:
∎ We are looking for a General Manager to lead the daily operations of our fan manufacturing factory. This includes overseeing production, quality, maintenance, and supply chain. The goal is to ensure smooth operations, cost-effective production, and timely delivery of high-quality products.
