Experience:
15–20+ years of experience in woven garments manufacturing, with strong expertise in woven bottoms (pants/trousers/shorts).
Minimum 5–7 years in a senior leadership role (AGM/GM/Factory Head).
Proven track record of leading large-scale woven factories with 3,000+ workers.
In-depth knowledge of compliance, lean manufacturing, efficiency improvement, and modern production systems.
The General Manager (Factory Head) will lead the overall operations of the factory, ensuring smooth production, on-time delivery, quality assurance, and compliance. This role requires strategic leadership to drive efficiency, profitability, and continuous improvement while meeting buyer requirements.
1. Factory Operations Management
Lead the entire woven bottom/pant manufacturing unit (cutting, sewing, washing, finishing, packing).
Ensure production achievement as per planning and buyer requirements.
Maintain operational efficiency, minimize downtime, and improve productivity.
2. Quality & Compliance
Ensure product quality meets international buyer standards (fit, stitching, wash, finishing).
Drive implementation of robust QA systems and continuous improvement.
Ensure compliance with social, technical, and environmental standards (ISO, BSCI, SEDEX, Accord/Alliance).
3. Production Planning & Execution
Collaborate with merchandising and planning teams for accurate capacity booking and order execution.
Ensure effective line balancing, WIP control, and shipment delivery on time.
Monitor efficiency and reduce wastage across production processes.
4. Financial & Cost Control
Manage factory P&L, budgeting, and operational costs.
Drive cost reduction initiatives without compromising quality.
Ensure optimum use of manpower, machinery, and materials.
5. Leadership & People Management
Lead, motivate, and develop factory teams (production, IE, QA, HR, Admin, Maintenance).
Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and high performance.
Provide training, guidance, and career development for department heads.
6. Stakeholder & Buyer Engagement
Act as the primary point of contact for buyers, auditors, and key stakeholders.
Represent the factory in buyer meetings, audits, and negotiations.
Build strong relationships with internal and external partners.
7. Continuous Improvement & Innovation
Introduce Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and other best practices.
Drive process automation and digital transformation for efficiency.
Implement innovative techniques for better productivity and profitability.
