Job Context:
∎ A boutique style social and recreational Club located in Gulshan, whose members are exclusively alumni a highly reputed educational institute in Dhaka having 140+ years rich heritage, has a vacancy for a senior management position. Depending on the candidate`s experience, track record and credentials the position to be offered might be a General Manager or an Operations Manager (who may be promoted to a GM position if he can demonstrate excellent performance).
∎ Working hours: The working hours are from 12:00 pm to 12:00 am six days a week. Leaves and Holidays will be as per Government rules.
∎ Reporting to: The Executive Committee (EC) of the Club.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Manage all the activities of the club which include managing a number of lounges and an indoor sports facility.
∎ Manage the multicuisine restaurant for both in house dining as well as take-away.
∎ Manage the Party Hall and a fully licensed bar.
∎ Ensure supreme hygiene and quality of foods served and conduct regular as well as preventive maintenances of club facilities and amenities.
∎ Keep a high degree of constant vigilance over 'leakage' of supplies and inventory of the restaurant and the bar.
∎ Ensure the security of the premises.
∎ Reports regularly to the Executive Committee on the status of operation and finance of the club, recommend avenues of cost savings without compromising on the Club's service quality.
∎ Manage administrative functions like renewals of licenses, agreements, compliances, and managing law enforcement authorities.
∎ Manage a team of 25-30 staff of various levels.
∎ Be in charge of all Human Resources and administrative functions.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Must have minimum 7 (seven) years of experience of managing a similar establishment.
∎ Excellent communication skill in Bangla and English is a must.
∎ Must be fluent in computer, specially MS Word, Excel, emailing and Internet browsing for obtaining quick relevant information pertinent to efficient operation of the club.
∎ Having own motor bike with driving license would be highly advantageous.
∎ Retired Army personnel or candidates Certified in Hospitality Industry from a reputed institution would be added advantage.
Salary:
∎ An attractive salary package would be offered to the right candidate which would include two festival bonus and fuel allowance (if candidate has own motor bike).
