We are looking for an experienced and dynamic General Manager (GM) to oversee day-to-day operations, drive business performance, and ensure the continued growth of the factory.

Role Overview:

The General Manager will be responsible for the overall management and strategic direction of Jute Factory. This includes overseeing all factory operations, including production, quality control, inventory management, human resources, and safety compliance. The GM will be pivotal in ensuring the factory meets its goals for efficiency, profitability, and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Leadership:

  • Oversee daily factory operations to ensure production targets are met.

  • Implement processes and procedures to optimize operational efficiency.

  • Monitor production schedules and adjust resources as needed to ensure timely product delivery.

  • Team Management:

  • Lead, motivate, and manage a team of department heads and factory personnel.

  • Foster a positive and productive work environment.

  • Set clear performance expectations and conduct regular performance reviews.

  • Develop and manage the factory`s budget, ensuring that operations are cost-effective.

  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction while maintaining product quality.

  • Analyze financial reports and adjust operations as necessary to meet profit targets.

  • Quality Control and Safety:

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to product quality, health, and safety.

  • Develop and enforce quality control systems to maintain the highest standards.

  • Promote a culture of safety; ensuring workplace safety protocols are followed.

  • Supply Chain and Inventory Management:

  • Oversee the supply chain process, including procurement, logistics, and inventory management.

  • Ensure timely availability of raw materials and efficient production workflows.

  • Minimize waste and ensure inventory levels align with production demands.

  • Strategic Planning and Development:

  • Work closely with senior management to develop long-term strategic goals for the factory.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, product innovations, and market growth.

  • Lead efforts to expand production capacity and enhance technological capabilities.

  • Customer and Stakeholder Relations:

  • Maintain strong relationships with key customers, suppliers, and business partners.

  • Ensure customer satisfaction by ensuring timely delivery of quality products.

  • Represent the factory in meetings with senior management, board members, and external stakeholders.

  • Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare and present regular reports on factory performance, including production, quality, and financial metrics.

  • Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and recommend improvements where necessary.
