Experience:
Proven experience in Government Projects, Bangladesh Army/Brigade Projects, EPC, Oil & Gas and industrial and large-scale construction projects will be preferred.
Strong practical experience in mechanical design, engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation, testing, commissioning and project management.·
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment, fabrication, piping, HVAC, firefighting and utility systems.·
Strong capability in tendering, BOQ, estimation, costing, procurement and contract management.·
Excellent technical leadership, project management and team-management skills.
Strong coordination capability with clients, consultants, Government, Army/Brigade, contractors, and suppliers.·
Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation and decision-making skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, deadlines and technical teams effectively.
Willingness to travel frequently and work at project sites as required.
1. Lead and manage the overall Mechanical Engineering function of the Group.
2. Provide strategic and technical leadership for Mechanical EPC packages and project execution.
3. Review and approve mechanical designs, drawings, specifications, BOQ, equipment schedules, technical proposals and method statements.
4. Lead mechanical procurement, fabrication, installation, inspection, testing, commissioning and handover activities.
5. Oversee HVAC, firefighting, plumbing, pumps, compressors, piping, mechanical equipment and utility systems as applicable to projects.
6. Manage mechanical works related to Oil & Gas projects, pipeline construction, oil tank fabrication, mechanical installation and associated infrastructure.
7. Supervise and coordinate NDT, inspection, welding/fabrication quality, pressure testing and other mechanical testing requirements in accordance with project specifications.
8. Review tender documents, technical specifications, scope of work, BOQ, equipment requirements and contractor/subcontractor proposals.
9. Coordinate with Government authorities, Bangladesh Army/Brigade representatives, clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors and suppliers.
10. Lead technical, progress, coordination and commercial meetings with clients and consultants and ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
11. Review and certify, as applicable, measurements, contractor bills, variations, claims, technical submissions and supporting documents.
12. Lead inspection, testing, commissioning, performance verification and final handover of mechanical systems and equipment.
13. Support preparation of technical proposals, estimates, BOQ, costing, tender submissions and bid evaluations for Government and EPC projects.
14. Coordinate with Civil and Electrical Engineering teams to ensure integrated and coordinated EPC project execution.
15. Monitor contractor and subcontractor performance and ensure compliance with approved scope, schedule, quality and contractual requirements.
16. Support business development, tender opportunities, prequalification, technical negotiations and client presentations for Mechanical/EPC projects.
17. Submit regular technical, project-progress and management reports to Management.
18. Perform any other engineering or project-related responsibilities assigned by Group Management.
