Job Context:
∎ The British High Commission (BHC) Staff Amenities Centre (SAC) is seeking a highly motivated person to become its new Manager. The Manager will be responsible for the management of 34 staff and supervision of all SAC activities
∎ Some weekend and evening working will also be required. Two full-time office staff comprising a Deputy Manager and Accounts Manager support the position. The appointment is subject to a three month probationary period.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Providing and maintaining a high quality service and facility within a pleasant and relaxing environment to members and guests
∎ Ensuring that security and visitor protocols, standards and procedures in accordance with FCDO guidelines to protect staff, members and SAC premise are maintained at all times.
∎ Monitor and manage income and expenditure of the SAC to achieve profitability within the confines of the SAC Constitution and to provide efficient and effective use of SAC resources
∎ Ensure that all policies and procedures adhere to SAC and applicable FCDO policies and that they are updated and reviewed regularly and any new policies are developed and adopted as required
∎ Manage all HR functions within the SAC to ensure compliance with procedures including staff recruitment, performance and development, salary reviews and make recommendations to the Committee where improvement could be made to the work environment for staff
∎ Overseeing the accurate and prompt processing and collection of membership accounts; liaising with the Accounts Manager in the preparation of the Monthly Financial Report to the Committee including audit reports.
∎ Liaise with the Accounts Manager regarding future budget forecasting and monitoring current budgets in order to make recommendations to the Committee
∎ Assist the Committee with planning and running of events
∎ Responsible for all aspects of facilities management, including strategic planning and day to day operation of SAC premises and sports facilities. Overseeing the repair & maintenance of buildings and grounds,
∎ Provide the committee with timely and accurate reports and other information as and when required, including monthly Management Reports and to identify any risks or issues which may affect the SAC which cannot be dealt with solely by the Manager; and maintain an up to date risk register

Additional Requirements:
∎ Extensive experience managing a similar operation, preferably in hospitability and/or facilities management.
∎ Demonstrated ability to mentor, coach and develop staff, and manage staff performance including staff discipline in accordance with policy and procedures
∎ Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
∎ Complete fluency in English
∎ Good financial and inventory management skills, with experience in managing profit and loss statements
∎ Highly developed leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to establish and achieve team goals
∎ Experience in developing and applying policy and procedure, and risk management
∎ Demonstrated ability to effectively plan ahead and coordinate multiple areas of operations
∎ High degree of initiative and motivation, with the ability to work with little or no supervision whilst also effectively collaborating with a management committee and other key stakeholders

Salary:
∎ Tk. 140000 - 160000 (Monthly)
∎ Salary Range will be BDT 140,000-160,000, possibly higher for exceptional candidates.
