Job Context:
∎ To support the garment technical and quality functions of the company ( from sampling through to final inspection ) in Bangladesh
∎ To manage the garment technologists in their samples evaluation work, coordinating with the local factories and the UK & HK technical teams
∎ To manage the QA teams ensuring that all inspections are conducted as per company`s and customers requirements, coordinating with the factories senior management teams
∎ Working closely with the merchandising team to ensure that key dates for sampling and inspection are maintained as per company`s & customers expectations.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Proven and successful track record at a senior level in garment technical and quality management areas
∎ Very strong technical skills ( yarn and fabric knowledge , and garment construction skills ) in sweaters, woven and jersey garments
∎ Strong problem solving and judgement skills
∎ Very strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Bangla
∎ Very good ability to be able to translate technical information to non-technical people
∎ Experience and ability to work with all levels of employees in a multi-cultural and multi-national organization
∎ Extensive knowledge about the garment production process in factories from sampling until shipment
∎ Strong personal skills and ability to resolve conflict
∎ Able and willing to work under pressure.
∎ Good PC knowledge (Windows XP, Word, Excel)
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 40 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ At least 15 years experience in the garment technical & quality management areas, working in garment factories / suppliers / brands.
∎ Good Technical person and good English communication skill will be given preference.
