∎ PORTWEST, Ireland a leading global manufacturer of safety wear, workwear and PPE is currently seeking applications for the position of a PHP Developer to be based in Cumilla Export Processing Zone, Bangladesh. Portwest is one of the fastest growing workwear companies in the world currently employing over 4600 staff worldwide, with customer service staff in over 130 countries. We design, manufacture, and distribute market leading workwear, safety wear and PPE in fully owned production facilities.
∎ OFFICE TIME: 2.00pm to 10.00pm (follow the office time of Ireland)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ We are seeking a Front-end Developer to work across the organization to execute cutting edge experiences for our B2B customers that will grow our business globally
∎ As a Front-end Developer, you will develop, code, deploy and modify personalized and responsive portals and content. You will also play a key role in learning new technology to expand our tech stack. This person needs to quickly understand the tools required to code an experience end-to-end that meets the business objective.
∎ Front end development with focus on user facing features using VU, REACT, HTML/ CSS/JavaScript
∎ Create HTML/CSS/JavaScript templates for online marketing initiatives
∎ Use personalized data to drive responsive web content development
∎ Write optimized code for maximum speed and scalability
∎ Build reusable templates, widgets and code for the broader team
∎ Troubleshoot coding issues and bugs
∎ Collaborate with Design team to incorporate visual design into functional web pages
∎ Form and work in close partnerships with other Web Content Developers, brand production teams and brand web design
∎ Analyse user requirements and translate them into solution recommendations.
∎ Documenting your developments for use by the team
∎ Work closely with local and Irish based digital teams, and stakeholders.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Expert in HTML & CSS; intermediate JavaScript, jQuery, AngularJS, and React/VU.js
∎ Experience using web services such as REST/SOAP or other APIs
∎ Experience with Laravel PHP framework an advantage
∎ Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English is must
∎ Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure & management
∎ Knowledge and interest in web standards, accessibility, SEO and industry trends
∎ Experience with front end development tools such as Git, NPM, JIRA
∎ Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
∎ Experience building websites based on a grid system or utilizing Design Systems and UX Principles
∎ Proficient in SEO principles and ensuring that application will adhere to them
∎ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational and time management skills, quick learner & excellent problem solver, ability to excel in a team environment
∎ Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines
∎ 5 years minimum web site production and programming experience (Ecommerce site development preferred)
∎ User Interface design background preferred
