Job Context:
∎ "Access to Jalmahals and Khaslands in Haor areas in Sunamganj (A2JaL)" is a Manusher Jonno Foundation (MJF) funded project to be implemented by a reputed national NGO following right based approach. Job locations of this position will be at upazila level of Haor areas. Finance & Admin Officer is a part of local project management team. Overall objective of the project is to facilitate access rights of fisher and poor to Jalmahals and Khas lands.
∎ Project: Access to Jalmahals and Khaslands in Haor areas in Sunamganj (A2JaL)
∎ Project Period: January 2019 to December 2021 (3 years)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Maintain at Upazilla level overall accounts of the project
∎ Prepare all sorts of Vouchers of all transactions with proper supporting documents
∎ Perform and maintain banking related issues including Bank Reconciliation Report
∎ Maintain General ledger, Cash & Check book, Advance register, and Petty Cash
∎ Check and make payment Travel Expenses Reports, Conveyance bill etc.
∎ Arrangement of different logistics support services such as stationeries, photocopying, vehicle, refreshments, office cleaning, etc.
∎ Affix Revenue Stamp; Deduct Income taxes at source as applicable, and deposit to Govt. treasury
∎ Prepare monthly Financial report with necessary supporting and timely submission
∎ Assist Annual external audit, reviews as well as internal monitoring
∎ Maintain Fixed asset registers, stock register, ensure affix ID numbers, and keep track of items
∎ Filling and preservation of financial vouchers, HR related files in a confidential manner
∎ Prepare monthly salary sheet of all Upazilla level staff and ensure timely bank transfer
∎ Ensure and arrange timely disbursement of fund cheques/cash flows
∎ Provide support to Finance and Admin. Assist. on financial management
∎ Keep contact with HO based designated Accounts Officer on required basis and response immediately against queries
∎ Any other activities as assigned.

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 4 years of experience working with development organizations.
∎ Female candidate will also get preference and experience will be flexible.
∎ The candidate should have good knowledge on Accounting Practice, Income Tax, VAT and custom rules of Bangladesh.
∎ Must be capable of handling and managing Accounts, Audit, VAT, Project Costs, Income Tax matters etc.
∎ Capable in preparing budgets, budgetary control and financial reports
∎ Having non-discriminatory and gender sensitive perception
∎ Should have good command in both written and spoken English
∎ Should have excellent working knowledge of MS Office & MS Excel.

Salary:
∎ Gross BDT 25,000/month
