∎ Experience working with adolescents, IDPs, or climate-vulnerable populations is preferred.
∎ Strong facilitation, communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
∎ Good knowledge of sports-based programming and youth resilience models.
∎ Proven skills in Microsoft Office (both English and Bangla), internet-based tools, and reporting.
∎ Experience in organizing field training and community mobilization.
∎ Ability to ride a motorcycle with a valid driving license (mandatory).

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Lead field-level implementation of the SPiRiT project activities as per the Detailed Implementation Plan (DIP), ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.
∎ Provide supportive supervision and capacity-building support to Community Facilitators; coordinate daily activities and ensure accurate data and reporting from the field.
∎ Support in selecting targeted youth beneficiaries and establishing safe sporting spaces in consultation with local stakeholders and communities.
∎ Liaise with local government departments, Local Administration, Relevant Government department, educational institutions, sports associations, and community leaders to ensure project support and sustainability.
∎ Facilitate sports-based activities that build life skills and resilience among adolescents and youth, particularly those displaced or affected by climate vulnerabilities.
∎ Manage field budgets efficiently, monitor expenditure, and ensure compliance and proper use of project resources within assigned unions.
∎ Contribute to the preparation of narrative reports, MIS data, case studies, and success stories; support monitoring and learning processes at the upazila level.
∎ Ensure gender sensitivity, disability inclusion, and child safeguarding in all field-level activities. Establish and maintain Complaint and Feedback Response Mechanism (CFRM) at the community level.
∎ Organize and facilitate community-level trainings, workshops, and awareness sessions for youth, volunteers, and stakeholders.
∎ Regularly visit activity sites to monitor progress, ensure quality implementation, and provide on-the-spot mentoring to team members.
∎ Field Officer-Sports for Protection, Resilience and Transformation (SPiRiT) Project.
∎ Job Context:
∎ SOLIDARITY was established in 1992. The organization has built strong, trustworthy relationships with local administration and has been providing technical support to national and international organizations, as well as to local civil society. SOLIDARITY has been operating in Kurigram for 32 years and is widely recognized in its working areas within the Rangpur Division and nationally by other development agencies, including both government and non-government sectors. SOLIDARITY remains deeply committed to the real development of poor and underprivileged communities and the state.
∎ Climate-induced hazards and displacement significantly affect the mental and psychosocial well-being of young people. To support internally displaced populations, particularly youth, the Terre Des Hommes Foundation (Tdh) launched the “Sport for Protection, Resilience, and Transformation (SPiRiT)” project in early 2022. SOLIDARITY has been implementing the SPiRiT project in the Kurigram District. The project is part of the CALL Consortium and is funded by the Olympic Refuge Foundation (ORF) and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).
∎ SOLIDARITY is carrying out the SPiRiT Project in partnership with the Terre Des Hommes Foundation (Tdh) to support climate-vulnerable and internally displaced youth living in the char areas of Kurigram District. The Field Officer will be stationed at the upazila level and will be responsible for field-level project implementation, supervising Community Facilitators, coordinating locally, monitoring progress, and reporting activities. This position plays a key role in managing project activities within assigned unions, fostering partnerships with local institutions, and promoting youth engagement through sports-based interventions.
∎ SOLIDARITY is inviting applications from qualified candidates for the position of Field Officer for the “Sports for Protection, Resilience, and Transformation (SPiRiT)” Project, supported by the Terre Des Hommes Foundation (Tdh). The project is expected to run for a maximum period of 36 months, starting in July 2025.
∎ Job location: Kurigram District (Upazila level). The project location is completely based on the Char Area on the basin of the Brahmaputra, Teesta and Dharla rivers.
∎ Both male and female candidates may apply, and qualified and experience female candidate is preferable. Besides that, PWD are highly encouraged to apply.
