Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree (BSc) in Medical Laboratory Technology or an equivalent degree recognized by BMDC/DGHS is required.
Higher qualifications or specialized laboratory training will be an advantage.
Experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience in clinical laboratory services.
Experience working in humanitarian or low-resource settings is preferred.
Previous supervisory or leadership experience will be an added advantage.
Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of laboratory diagnostics, hematology, biochemistry, and point-of-care testing.
Familiarity with quality assurance, biosafety, IPC protocols, and outbreak response systems.
Ability to supervise laboratory operations and troubleshoot basic equipment issues.
Good computer literacy and reporting skills (MS Office, data management software).
Proficiency in English and Bangla is required; familiarity with Rohingya/Chittagonian language is an asset.

Duty Station: Mother & Child Hospital (MCH), Camp 21, Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar
Purpose of the Position
The Senior Laboratory Technologist is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and high-quality laboratory services to support clinical care at the Mother & Child Hospital (MCH), Camp 21. Working in a CEmOC-capable humanitarian setting serving Rohingya and host communities, the jobholder will:
Lead and supervise routine and emergency laboratory services for maternal, newborn, pediatric, and adult patients in line with hospital protocols and quality standards.
Ensure quality assurance, biosafety, Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) compliance, and proper biomedical waste management for safe and effective patient care.
Provide technical supervision, mentorship, and on-the-job support to laboratory staff to maintain high standards of laboratory practice.
Coordinate closely with clinical, pharmacy, MIS/MEAL, logistics, and SCI laboratory/medical logistics teams to ensure efficient and uninterrupted laboratory operations.
Supervise laboratory technologists, assistants, and support staff assigned to the MCH laboratory.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise routine and emergency laboratory testing services following standard protocols and quality standards.
Ensure accurate sample collection, testing, reporting, and timely processing of emergency cases.
Maintain quality assurance, biosafety, IPC compliance, and proper biomedical waste management within the laboratory.
Supervise equipment maintenance, inventory management, and timely replenishment of laboratory supplies and reagents.
Ensure accurate documentation, reporting, data confidentiality, and data quality compliance.
Support disease surveillance, outbreak response, and specimen referral activities as required.
Provide technical supervision, mentorship, and capacity-building support to laboratory staff and trainees.
Coordinate closely with clinical and support teams to ensure efficient and uninterrupted laboratory services.
Perform any other relevant duties assigned by the supervisor.
Monthly Gross Salary: BDT 60,000 /= (Only)
Bonus and other benefits: 10% of the monthly gross salary.
