Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is required.
Candidates with special experience in health data collection, analysis, and reporting systems may be considered flexibly.
Additional training in health information management, MEAL, or data systems will be considered an advantage.
Experience
Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in health data management and reporting.
Experience working with Kobo, ODK, iSTREAM, CommCare, DHIS2, Epi Info, and EWARS is required.
Experience in humanitarian or low-resource settings will be considered an added advantage.
Skills and Expertise:
Clear understanding of data collection, data validation, data protection, and privacy practices.
Ability to manage, clean, analyze, and maintain quality health data for reporting and decision-making purposes.
Experience in preparing routine reports, dashboards, data summaries, and maintaining databases accurately and timely.
Demonstrated professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical handling of sensitive health information.
Good understanding of Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) practices and health sector reporting requirements.
Strong organizational, analytical, and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively under pressure.
Having Knowledge of Chittagonian or Rohingya dialects will be considered an added advantage.

Duty Station: Mother & Child Hospital (MCH), Camp 21, Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar
Purpose of the Position
The Health Information System- Assistant (HIS-Assistant) is responsible for ensuring timely, accurate, and high-quality data management to support Mother & Child Hospital (MCH) operations in a humanitarian healthcare setting. The position supports patient registration, health data management, reporting systems, accountability activities, and coordination with the MEAL team to ensure efficient reporting and evidence-based decision-making.
Working in the Rohingya humanitarian response context, the jobholder will:
Ensure accurate patient registration, data entry, validation, and reporting using approved digital and manual systems.
Support routine reporting requirements including DHIS2, EWARS, CIC, PMTCT, 4W, 19 Points, donor, and sectoral reports.
Maintain data quality standards, confidentiality, and compliance with organizational data protection policies.
Support accountability activities, beneficiary feedback collection, and quality assurance processes.
Coordinate closely with clinical teams, MEAL staff, and support departments to ensure uninterrupted health information management services.
Assist health facility operations, emergency response activities, and patient service support functions.
Key Responsibilities
Data Management & Reporting
Maintain daily patient registration for all patients receiving healthcare services using approved tools and systems, including digital systems and Live Dashboard.
Update monthly data dashboards in both soft and physical copy formats covering all facility components.
Record and share daily patient consultation figures through designated communication channels.
Support the Coordinator-MEAL in conducting data validation through cross-checking physical documents, tally sheets, registers, and other source documents.
Assist in preparing and submitting routine reports including DHIS2, CIC, PMTCT, EWARS, 4W, 19 Points, sectoral reports, donor reports, and case/event reports.
Track reporting tools stock including patient forms, tally sheets, registers, and other data collection materials.
Ensure secure storage, proper organization, and regular backup of all data and documents according to organizational procedures.
Accountability & Quality Assurance
Collect beneficiary feedback regularly using approved Android-based applications.
Complete at least three GMT Checklists monthly, including Clinical Referral, Documentation, and Record Keeping checklists, in coordination with the Coordinator-MEAL.
Ensure completeness and accuracy of CRFs for EWARS and support clinical teams in maintaining accurate patient prescriptions and documentation.
Maintain data quality standards including accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and validity under the guidance of the Coordinator-MEAL.
Uphold strict confidentiality and follow organizational Data Protection and Privacy policies.
Support analysis of beneficiary feedback trends and share findings with the Coordinator-MEAL for follow-up actions.
Health Facility Support
Assist in managing patient flow according to established systems and service needs.
Disseminate general health education messages using appropriate IEC materials within the health facility.
Support clinical staff in facilitating emergency referrals within camp settings.
Participate in emergency response activities, rapid assessments, and special assignments when required.
Provide administrative and logistical support related to data management and patient service operations.
Perform any other relevant duties assigned by the Coordinator-MEAL.
Monthly Gross Salary: BDT 44,364 /= (Only)
Bonus and other benefits: 10% of the monthly gross salary.
