Job Context:
∎ Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) invites applications for the expansion of SHOUHARDOIII DRR Activity, in partnership with CARE Bangladesh and funding support of USAID. The goal of the activity is to "Foster locally led, gender inclusive and policy informed community resilience in Bangladesh, with particular focus on the most vulnerable and flood-prone areas of Bangladesh ". DAM will implement the SHOUHARDO III DRR Activity in Sunamganj (Taherpur & Dowarabazar Upazillas) and Netrokona (Madan & Khaliajhuri Upazillas) district supported by CARE Bangladesh from November2023.
∎ Employment Status: Contractual Initial contract up to August, 2025
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Will be responsible for the implementation of all union level activities and will act as the focal point at the Union.
∎ S/he will be responsible for implementing all activities- plinth raising at HH and community level, Flood Preparedness Program (FPP) volunteers' selection, agricultural and livestock beneficiary selection and capacity building; Community Mobilization, conduct Climate Vulnerability and Capacity Analysis (CVCA), Union level coordination.
∎ Field Facilitators will report to the respective Project Officer.
∎ Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor / management
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 02 years' relevant working experience in any National/International NGO;
∎ Preference will be given to candidates having prior working experience in the project area and experience of:
∎ Implementing the project activities in the field;
∎ Carry forwarding community capacity building assessments;
∎ Carry forward plinth raising activities at field level, experience in Cash for work (CFW) modality through Mobile Money Transfer (MMT) will be prioritized
∎ Carry forward agricultural input distribution and capacity building of community
∎ Good community mobilization, consultation and session facilitation skills
∎ Coordination and maintain liaison with communities, civil society groups and local stakeholders;
∎ Skills in Community Consultation and Process Facilitation;
∎ Effective Problem solver.
∎ Good verbal and written communication skills in local language and Bengali;
∎ Ability to work remotely in the field;
∎ Experience in Cash for Work (CFW) modality through Mobile Money Transfer (MMT) will be an asset
∎ Good understanding on issues related to gender equity and protection
∎ Proficient in MS Office tools( Word, Excel)
Salary: Tk. 25000 (Monthly)
