∎ Rupantar, a development organization has been working in Disaster Management & Climate Change adaptation, Democracy & Political empowerment, Popular Media & Folk Theatre, Children & Youth rights and Peace & Tolerance. Rupantar is now inviting applications from suitable experienced and interested candidate to work coastal areas for filling up the following job vacancies to work in a climate change and DRR focused project supported by CARE Bangladesh dealing with Climate Risk Mitigation in Bagerhat District.
∎ Project Name : Pioneering Community Funding for Addressing Climate Change Loss & Damage
∎ Job Location : Sarankhola Upazila in Bagerhat District
∎ Project Duration: 1st September, 2023 to 29th February, 2024
∎ Job Category : Project Staff
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Work closely with community and provide technical support as necessary.
∎ Day to day project activity monitoring for quality and timely implementation
∎ Necessary Information collection for Beneficiary/participant selection and PDM.
∎ Ensure smooth operation in terms of organizing Upazila/Union Inception meeting and distribution event.
∎ Assist Sr. Project officer to achieve project goal.
∎ Assist Sr. Project officer to collect good case stories and photographs from field.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 28 to 45 years
∎ Previous experience in Voluntary Activities.
∎ Is widely accepted among the community and have good reputation.
∎ Ability to maintain a good relationship with the community, respective UDMC and local elites
∎ Good verbal and written communication skills.
∎ Ability to work collect and input large volume of data.
∎ Knowledge in good record keeping practices.
∎ Good understanding on issues related to gender equity and protection.
∎ The candidates should have the age limit of 28 to 45 years and have the ability to work in adverse situations
∎ Ability to stay at project area
∎ Strong team player with well-developed network.
∎ Only short-listed candidates will be called for interview.
∎ Female will be given priority in every recruitment process.
∎ The candidates who are familiar with the coastal region will be given importance.
∎ Salary and benefits will depend on clearance of Bangladesh Govt and Donor,
∎ Candidate should be child and Gender sensitive.
