Job Context:
∎ Bangladesh Resource Center for Indigenous Knowledge (BARCIK) is a non-governmental non-profitable development organization. A group of development practitioners, researchers and social workers established BARCIK in 1997. BARCIK has been working in the fields of environment, biodiversity conservation, climate change and food security with utmost commitment and purpose since its inception. BARCIK is looking for a well-qualified candidate for the post of Field Facilitator for its project titled `Strengthening the resilience of the poorest population of the impacts of climate change in Bangladesh to be implemented in Shyamnagar and Ashashuni upazila in Satkhira district. The project is supported by NETZ Bangladesh
∎ Job Nature: Full-time (up to the project period based on performance.)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Selection and formation of civil society organization (CSO) members at village and union level;
∎ coordinate individual preparation of Family Development Plans (FDPs) and Business Development Plans (BDPs) by CSO members;
∎ Support acquisition of productive assets;
∎ Organize and conduct training on income generating activities, health and hygiene;
∎ Provide technical support to increase income and production;
∎ Conducting CSOs meetings at the village and union level;
∎ collecting weekly savings; documentation;
∎ regular home visits;
∎ dialogue with local authorities;
∎ supporting animal health workers;
∎ raising awareness on climate change and its impacts among CSO members;
∎ providing technical support to disaster volunteers;
∎ ensuring pandemic-related protective measures at meetings.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 3 years working experiences with proven skill and competencies in livelihood and climate change.
∎ The applicant should have computer skill on MS word and Excel Experience on PRA, network/linkage/collaboration with union/upazila level administration and like-minded organizations.
∎ Male candidates must have Motor bike driving license.
∎ Willing to stay at union/upazila level with frequent visit to the remote areas.
∎ Candidate should have a good knowledge on safe grading policy (Child Protection, Gender & Anti sexual harassment).

Salary: Tk. 16300 (Monthly)
Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ 1 festival bonus equivalent to 1 month gross salary
