Job Context
BARCIK (Bangladesh Resource Center for Indigenous Knowledge) is a non-governmental non-profitable development organization. A group of development practitioners, researchers and social workers established BARCIK in 1997. BARCIK has been working in the fields of environment, agroecology, climate justice and food sovereignty and development exploring the potentiality of indigenous knowledge with utmost commitment and purpose since its inception. BARCIK is looking for well-qualified female/male candidate (Female candidate will be specially considered) for the immediate appointment of 2 Project Officers (Agriculture) to be posted in Shyamnagar, Satkhira and Harirampur, Manikganj.
Job Nature: Full-time initially for 1 (one) year and opportunity to extend based on performance.
Other job requirements
He / she will be responsible for all agricultural related activities and support the communities including participatory varietal trials, participatory assessment, seed collection and seed bank development, organizing seed fair, uncultivated plants fair, plantation, conservation of natural forest, participatory breeding, soil management, crop rotation, monitoring agroecology learning centres, nutrition gardening, shotobari, support to preparing vermicomposting etc. The Project officers (Agriculture) will work jointly with the Training and Advocacy Officers and Community Facilitators in the working areas.



Job Other Benifits:
    • 1 (one) festival bonus equivalent to 1 month gross salary.
