• Knowledge of garment production, fabric consumption and costing is an advantage.

• Has to have connections and access to multiple small factories.

• Efficiency in MS Excel.

Context:

We are seeking a talented and versatile fashion designer with experience in taking design concepts to finished products. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work with complex products and adapt to both local and international markets. This role involves overseeing the entire design and development process, from conceptualization to production, ensuring that products meet customer requirements and are aligned with current trends

Responsibilities:

• Must be willing to work for both International and Local brands. We are seeking a fashion designer who can take a Design Concept to a Product.

• Must have experience working with Complex products.

• Making collections based on buyer’s requirements.

• Candidates must have fashion knowledge of variety.

• Work closely and directly with the production house.

• Keeping up to date with emerging fashion trends as well as general trends relating to fabrics, colors, and shapes.

• Responsible for Hand Drawing, CAD drawing Illustrations, Graphic Designs for Product Presentations & Sketches, Tech pack, and measurement chart with grading.

• Understanding design from a technical perspective, i.e. producing patterns, toiles, and technical specifications for designs, Sourcing, selecting, and buying fabrics, trims, fastenings, and embellishments.

• Ensure the timely and successful design and development of products in line with the customers` requirements.

• Adapting existing designs for mass production.

• Developing a pattern that is cut and sewn into sample garments and supervising the creation of these, including fitting, detailing, and adaptations.
