Education:

• Completed Secondary School.

Experience Requirement:

• At least one year of work experience in refugee camps or in host communities in the area of emergency response, Strong coordination, negotiation, mobilizing and facilitation skills.

• Proficient in computer applications will be an advantage.

• Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.

• Ability to work effectively and harmoniously within a team of colleagues from various cultures and professional backgrounds.

• Proficient in the local language is required while knowledge of English will be an advantage.

Job Responsibility:

• Respond to emergency response activities with shelter activities according to the procedures.

• Provide general assistance in the implementation of projects activities e.g. data collection (for assessment, project monitoring as post-distribution monitoring), distribution, training, shelter upgrade, quality control of construction materials and monitoring of labor in camps, the host communities and the Bamboo Treatment Facility.

• Support to facilitate community meetings and other form of participatory approaches such cash for work in relation to site level care and maintenance activities, focus group discussions, key informant interviews and safety audit/mapping with supervisor’s instructions.

• Support to produce relevant documentation (attendance sheet, agenda, meeting minutes in English, Bangali and local language as required).

• Support the Shelter teams in implementing a community-based complaint and feedback mechanism at camp level.

• Supervise the implementation of construction activities within Shelter/NFI programmes, and as per technical instructions from responsible team.

• Assist in organizing and ensuring the transportation shelter materials and NFIs for families identified as extremely vulnerable individuals (EVIs).

• Supervise the implementation of construction activities within Shelter/NFI programs, and as per technical instructions from responsible team.

• Support the daily monitoring of Shelter/NFI stocks at the construction sites and distribution points, organize and supervise labor teams for the loading and unloading of materials.

• Report to the line supervisor at the end of each day with the update of assigned task.

• Strictly adhere to the Organization Standards of Conducts.

• Perform any other task asked by the supervisor as appropriate.

Monthly gross salary for this position is BDT 20,000.00.
