Educational Requirements:
∎ Degree in textile engineering or Apparel Manufacturing.
Experience Requirements:
∎ 8 to 10 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ All types of fabric sourcing from local and overseas factories for the buyers following the required specification;
∎ Fabric development within the sampling department for research and Interpretation of new varied styles in season;
∎ Weaving, Knitting, dyeing finishing, and printing process follow up for sample development;
∎ Different quality Knit, Woven, and Non-Woven fabric development with local and overseas factories for bulk orders;
∎ Analysis of fabric structure, texture, composition, design, and all over printing technique to develop new quality fabrics as per buyer requirement;
∎ Fabric quality follow-up, risk assessment and provide technical and managerial
∎ solutions.
∎ Monitoring on from Sample to Bulk quality, quantity, technical aspects and delivery to achieve the sustainable product development;
∎ Fabric sourcing and vendor development of new weaves and qualities according to the trend supplied by multiple buyers in every season;
∎ Coordinating with the washing department for special finishes, the hand feel, and aesthetic dry processing;
∎ Study Market trends of latest finishes of fabric, price analysis, and negotiation with suppliers for sourcing best quality fabrics;
∎ Develop personnel and execute policies and procedures that provide material at the lowest possible prices;
∎ Development of fabric suppliers for different types of fabrics and develop more than one supplier for a fabric type to keep as a backup if one supplier fails to give delivery, another will deliver fabrics;
∎ Negotiate on the pricing to keep the cost at lowest level.
∎ Provide periodic reports to the management on sourcing, development and delivery of the fabrics, trims and accessories;
∎ Any other responsibility and maintenance of records as assigned by the management.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 8-10 years' experience in Fabric and textile industry;
∎ Highly capable of sourcing in BD & Abroad
∎ Must be a self-starter, able to multitask and balance workload;
∎ Deep understanding of textile construction and ability to cost engineer
∎ Proficient in Outlook, Excel, Word, and Adobe Programs
∎ Proactive, organized and detail oriented
∎ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
∎ Must be fluent in verbal and written English
