Job Summary:
LAXFO Electronics is seeking a highly motivated and creative R&D Executive (Mechanical Design) to join our Mechanical Team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and improving our range of electronic and household products, ensuring innovation, quality, and manufacturability. This role requires strong proficiency in 3D design tools and a solid understanding of both product and packaging design.
Key Responsibilities:
Gather and analyze customer insights, market data, and stakeholder requirements to guide product development.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, design, and production) to ensure alignment between technical and user needs.
Continuously enhance product features based on testing outcomes, customer feedback, and innovation trends.
Create detailed and precise 3D models, assemblies, and simulations for new and existing products (e.g., lighting housings, chargers, and enclosures).
Perform material selection and composition analysis for each component — considering factors such as thermal conductivity, strength, weight, cost, and manufacturability.
Define material composition and finishing specifications (e.g., PC+ABS ratios, aluminum alloys, coatings, and surface treatments) based on product requirements.
Conduct design validation through stress, heat dissipation, and fit analysis to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Develop and maintain engineering drawings, 3D CAD models, and Bill of Materials (BOMs) with precise material and part definitions.
Perform structural and functional analysis to optimize design efficiency and manufacturability.
Ensure dimensional accuracy, material selection, and assembly feasibility for production.
Update design documentation as per testing and production feedback.
Continuously refine designs based on testing feedback, tooling feasibility, and supplier capability.
Develop creative and practical packaging concepts that reflect brand identity and ensure product safety.
Focus on sustainability, cost-effectiveness, and user convenience in packaging design.
Collaborate with marketing and production teams to deliver aesthetically appealing and functional packaging solutions.
Conduct prototype and sample testing to validate mechanical and functional aspects.
Prepare detailed test reports highlighting performance results, durability, and improvement areas.
Coordinate with the R&D In-Charge to refine designs and ensure production readiness.
