• Must have experience in Environment role in garments or textile industry.

• Practical experience in ETP operation, environmental compliance and sustainability practices.

• Experience working with compliance standards will be preferred.

• Strong knowledge of Bangladesh environmental laws, ETP operation and industrial pollution control.

• Ability to work in a factory environment and handle compliance requirements efficiently.

Position Purpose

To support and ensure environmental compliance and sustainable practices within Jamuna Poly Silk Limited by implementing environmental management systems, monitoring pollution control measures, and maintaining compliance with Bangladesh environmental laws and buyer requirements. The role is responsible for minimizing environmental impact in garments manufacturing operations and promoting eco-friendly initiatives.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure compliance with environmental laws, regulations and standards of Bangladesh.

• Assist in implementing and maintaining Environmental Management System (EMS) in line with ISO 14001.

• Supervise Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) operations to ensure proper treatment of wastewater.

• Conduct regular inspections of factory premises to identify environmental risks and ensure corrective actions.

• Maintain records of environmental data including water consumption, chemical usage, emissions and waste management.

• Prepare and submit environmental reports to regulatory authorities and management.

• Ensure proper hazardous and non-hazardous waste management as per compliance standards.

• Support environmental audits (internal, external and buyer audits) and ensure audit readiness.

• Coordinate with production, maintenance and compliance teams to ensure eco-friendly operations.

• Promote awareness among employees regarding environmental protection and sustainability practices.
