∎ The holder of this position will perform routine nursing work as may be required by the respective schedules in due consideration of the specified roles in this job description
∎ Key Result #1: Capacity building
∎ Ensure that immunization services and practices are in line with national recommended guidelines, treatment protocols and consistent with international humanitarian standards and best practices
∎ Support the CHW team in community mobilization activities and implement immunization appropriate approaches to create demand for immunization services
∎ Support the vaccinators and other health workers capacity to adequately identify, deal with Adverse Effects Following immunization and ensuring reporting of events is done to the Ukhiya Health Complex
∎ Support in the planning, implementation of routine immunization and campaigns as may be guided by Ukhiya Health Complex and its partners
∎ Ensuring that the vaccination teams are managing immunization activities in line with approved immunization schedules , and ensuring that tally sheets are properly completed,
∎ Identifying and supporting in addressing any challenges that arise during immunization activities implementation
∎ Monitor vaccination sessions with WHO and UHC Independent Vaccination Monitors ( IVMs) and Surveillance Immunization Medical Officers, as may be required with use of relevant checklists
∎ Lead the training of vaccinators and other health workers, and formulate training reports
∎ Conduct other activities in relation to immunization as may be assigned by the organization and Ukhiya Health Complex to ensure access of immunization for the Forcibly Displaced Myanmar Nationals ( FDMNS)
∎ Facilitate and coordinate capacity building through regular trainings for staff, especially the midwives, clinical skill building, supervision, client-provider-interaction, among others
∎ Support Upazilla Health Complex in disease surveillance activities and government efforts in Vaccine preventable Disease eradication and elimination
∎ Ensuring efforts are made to reach every child through review of the pre-vaccination surveys and identifying missed children
∎ In collaboration with the Medical Coordinator and various leads, develop training plans and support their implementation through direct implementation via training, mentorship and or through support from other organizations
∎ Review and disseminate key best practice guidelines documents and provide individual support to health facility staff for implementation
∎ Ensure that vaccines, equipment and supplies are available in a timely manner and regularly monitored through identification of gaps as per the need to each health facility
∎ Key Result #2: Information and data management
∎ Oversee routine immunization data collection at health facilities utilizing data collected via facility-based registers and data collection tools
∎ As appropriate conduct basic data analysis to monitor vaccine coverage and drop out, missed opportunities and advise on corrective interventions
∎ Contribute to revision of immunization data collection and reporting tools that will complement FHMTI, and health sector requirements
∎ Review submitted reports and compiles vaccinator data, analyses and report to Ukhiya Upazilla Health Complex and to the HIS team
∎ Establish partnerships with organizations implementing immunization services for comprehensive service delivery, improvement and lessons leant sharing
∎ Contribute to assessment, reviews and recommendations
∎ Key Result #3: Representation and reporting
∎ Attend and contribute during routine and adhoc immunization review meetings at Upazilla level and when delegated at district level.
∎ Communicate often with the WHO IVM team and Ukhiya Health Complex to assist with addressing challenges arising during the Supplementary Immunization Activities ( SIAs).
∎ Key Result #4: Staff management, development,
∎ Models leadership to all vaccinators and intentionally develops their capacity to supervise immunization sessions as potential team leaders
∎ Works closely with the Clinic leads to build their capacity and teamwork;
∎ Support proper recruitment, orientation, training, development, and care of all FH vaccinators
∎ Keep abreast of environmental, economic, social, political, and religious conditions in the field, and report on such conditions as needed;

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum of 6 months in implementation of immunization programs preferably in humanitarian settings of Kutupalong Camp for Forcibly Displaced Myanmar Nationals (FDMNs)
∎ Experience with implementation of Vaccine Preventable Disease programs is an added advantage
∎ Familiarity with Government of Bangladesh immunization guidelines for the Forcibly Displaced Myanmar Nationals (FDMNs)
∎ Demonstrated creativity, ability to apply innovative thinking and problem-solving skills
∎ Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint

∎ Strong people management skills / interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate, teach and mentor staff
∎ Comfortable and persuasive when speaking before both large and small groups;
∎ Ability to interact positively with all levels of the organization and across organizational and cultural boundaries.
∎ Medical fitness to live and travel in rural and urban areas with extreme conditions and limited medical support;
