Experience:

• At least 5 years

• Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering
• Bachelor in Engineering (BEngg) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) from a recognized university.

• At least 5 years

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in renewable energy project design, installation, audit, or quality assurance (Solar PV, mini-grid, rooftop solar, hybrid energy systems preferred).

• Strong understanding of Bangladesh’s Renewable Energy Standards, Codes, and Policies.

• Proven expertise in project inspection, testing & commissioning, and compliance.

• Excellent analytical, reporting, and communication skills.

• Willingness to travel extensively across the country.

Background:

Bangladesh Sustainable and Renewable Energy Association (BSREA) is a national platform of renewable energy stakeholders, dedicated to ensuring quality, sustainability, and accountability in the sector. To uphold technical standards and transparency, BSREA is introducing a Project Audit and Certification process applicable for both member and non-member projects.

The Engineer–Project Audit & Certification will be responsible for conducting technical audits, ensuring corrective measures, and recommending issuance (or non-issuance) of Project Completion Certificates.

Reports to: Company Secretary / Executive Director, BSREA

Location: Dhaka (with frequent project visits across Bangladesh)

Key Responsibilities:

Project Audit & Inspection

• Conduct technical audits of all renewable energy projects (both members and non-members).

• Verify design, materials, installation, safety standards, and performance compliance.

• Conduct site visits and inspections as required.

Audit Reporting & Corrective Actions

• Prepare detailed Project Audit Reports for each project.

• Submit the report to BSREA and the audited company.

• Identify shortcomings and recommend corrective actions.

• Request the audited company to report back on corrective measures taken.

Certification Process

• Review corrective reports and re-verify compliance.

• Recommend to BSREA whether the project qualifies for Project Completion Certification or not.

• Ensure impartiality, transparency, and technical integrity in the certification process.

Technical Advisory Role

• Provide feedback and guidance to project developers on improving quality standards.

• Contribute to BSREA’s knowledge base on renewable energy quality benchmarks.

• Fixed monthly salary (negotiable, based on qualifications and experience).

• TA & DA for project visits as per BSREA rules.

• Other benefits as per BSREA policy.
