Professional Requirements:

The applicant must have:

Registration as a Professional Engineer with the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB).

Eligibility to sign and certify structural engineering drawings under applicable regulations.

Strong working knowledge of RAJUK structural submission requirements.

Practical experience with approval procedures of RAJUK and other development authorities in Bangladesh.

Sound knowledge of the latest Bangladesh National Building Code (BNBC) and relevant international structural design standards.

We are seeking a highly competent and experienced Mid-Level Structural Design Engineer to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the structural analysis and design of residential, commercial, mixed-use, industrial, institutional, and high-rise building projects. The candidate must be capable of preparing complete structural design calculations, analysis models, detailed structural drawings, and authority-compliant documents for project approvals. This position is primarily an office-based (desk) role, focusing on structural design, engineering analysis, technical documentation, and coordination with architects and MEP engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform complete structural analysis and design for reinforced concrete (RC), steel, composite, and foundation systems.

• Design residential, commercial, mixed-use, hospitality, industrial, institutional, and high-rise buildings.

• Prepare structural calculations in accordance with the latest Bangladesh National Building Code (BNBC), ACI, AISC, ASTM, and other relevant international standards.

• Develop structural framing systems, foundation layouts, column layouts, beam layouts, slab reinforcement details, retaining walls, staircases, shear walls, water tanks, and other structural components.

• Prepare complete structural construction drawings, reinforcement detailing, and bar bending schedules (BBS).

• Perform seismic and wind load analysis using appropriate engineering software.

• Design shallow and deep foundation systems based on geotechnical investigation reports.

• Coordinate structural designs with architectural, MEP, geotechnical, and survey teams.

• Review and verify structural drawings for compliance with engineering standards and project requirements.

• Prepare structural documents for submission to approval authorities including: RAJUK, CDA, KDA, RDA, City Corporations, Municipal Authorities and Other relevant government agencies in Bangladesh.

• Provide professional structural certification and sign engineering drawings where legally applicable.

• Support project teams during construction by providing technical clarifications and design modifications when required.

• Ensure quality, safety, economy, and constructability in all structural designs.

• Preparation of BOQ (Bill of Quantities) on recent Market Value.

Experience Requirements:

• 8–10 years of professional experience in structural design of buildings.

• Proven experience in residential, commercial, mixed-use, industrial, and high-rise projects.

• Experience in preparing authority-compliant structural drawings and calculations.

• Strong experience in reinforced concrete and steel structural design.

• Experience working with consulting firms or real estate developers will be preferred.

Technical Skills:

Candidates should have excellent proficiency in the following software:

·        SAFE

·        SAP2000

·        STAAD Pro

·        Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis (preferred)

·        AutoCAD

·        Autodesk Revit Structure

·        Tekla Structures (preferred)

·        CSI Column

·        Microsoft Excel (Advanced)

·        Microsoft Office Suite
