Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with plastic molds and cutting tools.

Context:

To develop and optimize CNC programs for mold and precision components, ensuring quality, productivity, cost-effectiveness, and on-time delivery.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop, modify, verify, and optimize CNC programs for mold components using Mastercam/SolidCAM.

• Read and interpret 2D drawings, 3D models, GD&T, and machining specifications.

• Prepare efficient toolpaths for roughing, finishing, drilling, profiling, and complex 3D machining.

• Select suitable cutting tools, feeds, speeds, fixtures, and machining parameters.

• Verify programs through simulation and ensure collision-free machining before production.

• Support CNC machine setup, program prove-out, troubleshooting, and process improvement.

• Ensure machining quality, dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and compliance with specifications.

• Optimize machining processes to reduce cycle time, tooling cost, rejection, and rework.

• Coordinate with Mold Design, Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Assembly teams to meet delivery schedules.

• Guide and supervise CNC programmers/operators and provide technical support.

• Maintain CNC programs, setup sheets, revisions, and other required technical records.

• Maintain working knowledge of laser engraving and other mold-production processes.
