• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in electrical maintenance, facility management, industrial operations, commercial buildings, or similar environments.

• Strong knowledge of electrical operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and safety.

• Ability to read and interpret Single Line Diagrams (SLD), electrical drawings, control diagrams, and equipment manuals.

• Good knowledge of electrical testing instruments and maintenance practices.

• Working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and Word.

Job Summary

The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the operation, preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection, and performance monitoring of electrical systems and equipment. The position will ensure reliable, safe, and efficient operation of electrical infrastructure while complying with company procedures, client requirements, and applicable electrical and HSE standards.

Key Responsibilities

Electrical Operation & Maintenance

• Monitor and maintain electrical systems including HT/LT systems, substations, transformers, RMU, ACB, MDB, SDB, ATS/changeover systems, and distribution networks.

• Supervise operation and maintenance of generators, UPS, AVR, capacitor banks, battery systems, and associated equipment.

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.

• Troubleshoot electrical faults and take appropriate corrective actions to minimize equipment downtime.

• Monitor electrical parameters such as voltage, current, frequency, power factor, load, energy consumption, and temperature.

• Ensure proper operation of electrical equipment during normal operation, emergency operation, and power outages.

Preventive Maintenance & Inspection

• Prepare and execute preventive maintenance schedules and checklists.

• Conduct routine inspection of electrical panels, cables, busbars, breakers, transformers, generators, and other electrical equipment.

• Identify abnormal conditions such as overheating, unusual noise, vibration, loose connections, insulation deterioration, and abnormal electrical readings.

• Coordinate testing such as insulation resistance, earth resistance, thermography, transformer testing, and breaker testing as required.

• Follow up on defects and ensure timely closure of maintenance actions.

Troubleshooting & Breakdown Management

• Respond promptly to electrical breakdowns and emergency situations.

• Analyze electrical faults using drawings, equipment manuals, test instruments, and technical data.

• Coordinate with OEMs, contractors, and specialist vendors for complex troubleshooting and repair.

• Prepare breakdown reports, root-cause analysis, and corrective/preventive action recommendations.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate records of preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, inspections, breakdowns, and equipment history.

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports.

• Maintain electrical equipment asset registers and maintenance records.

• Prepare technical reports, incident reports, inspection reports, and recommendations.
