Job Context:
∎ Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) is a National NGO with Consultative Status with UN ECOSOC and UNESCO. It works for social and spiritual development of the community. Founded with the motto of `Divine and Humanitarian Service`, over 62 years DAM has been serving the human community for improved living conditions enhancing people`s capacities to multi-dimensional field programs and inner potentials. DAM`s current diversified works encompass multi-dimensional field programs and self-governing institutions in education, health and economic development sectors in Bangladesh.
∎ DAM is implementing an emergency humanitarian response education project titled Scale-up of Early Learning and Informal Basic Education Programme for Forcibly Displaced Myanmar Nations (FDMN) 4-14 years` children in Bangladesh (ENBC) with the financial support by UNICEF at 6 Upazilas of Cox`s Bazar district.
∎ DAM invites applications for the position of "Education Specialist." Who are not having B.Ed. M.Ed. or IER degree, please don`t apply for the post.
∎ Duty Station: Cox`s Bazar with including frequent field visit.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Outstanding analytical and writing skills and proven ability to quickly understand complex challenges and propose solutions in organized, articulate concept papers, reports, and proposals;
∎ Understanding of development programs with special focus on education program specially Education in Emergency Program;
∎ Sensitive to local and national development and clear understanding of the education sector development in Bangladesh
∎ Skills of developing quality of the Primary and JSC pedagogy
∎ Regularly shares knowledge on new international best practice trends
∎ Proactively applies relevant international best practices to own work.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum of 6 years of work experience within the field of education as Education Specialist; Program Manager, Master Trainer of formal or Non-Formal education program;
∎ Excellent oral and written communication skills; familiarity with MSWord, Excel, Power Point; Excellent organizational skills with a willingness to assume responsibilities and take initiative; ability to be a team player;
Salary:
∎ BDT 80,000 with Other benefits: other benefits will pay as per project provision and organizational policy.
