∎ Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) is a National NGO with Consultative Status with UN ECOSOC and UNESCO. It works for social and spiritual development of the human community. Founded by Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah (r.a), an eminent educationist, reformer and Sufi. ∎ DAM is looking for a competent, self-motivated and high experienced Director/Joint Director, Education and TVET Sectors for immediate appointment.
∎ Work Station: DAM Head Office (with extensive requirement of visit to programmes at field level
∎ Reportable to: Executive Director, Dhaka Ahsania Mission
∎ Job Location: Head Office, Dhaka Ahsania Mission, Dhanmondi (With extensive requirement of visit to project sites across the country.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Director/ Joint Director, Education and TVET Sectors will be supervising all project managers/coordinators of DAM education and TVET sectors to ensure that desired programme outcomes and goals are delivered in line with DAM strategic direction milestones 2020 as well as donor requirements. The functions are broadly categorized in three broad areas: Technical support, Resource mobilization and administrative management. Detailed tasks are illustrated but not limited to the points mentioned below.

∎ Technical support
∎ Provide need based support to project managers/coordinators to manage and implement projects/programmes in line with project objectives/goals, logical or results frameworks and theories of change
∎ Work closely with projects/programmes of other sectors, Divisions, and DAM Institutes to identify ways of maximizing links, mutual collaboration, synergies within all sectors and with all entities of DAM
∎ Coordinating and fostering team-work and establishing a mechanism for experience and resource sharing among sectors as well as problem solving
∎ Support and ensuring that the respective projects to develop implementation plan, budget and quality reports and share with all concerned in timely manner within DAM and beyond
∎ Ensure that all project team members and partners fully understand the mission-vision of DAM as well as objectives, results framework, and methodologies of projects/programmes
∎ Take initiatives for research, study and knowledge management at projects at the sector level

∎ Identify learning and training opportunities for the teams and contribute to the design and implementation of capacity-building strategy at project/programme/sector level
∎ Reviewing detailed reports on the progress of programme/Sectors and provide guidance as appropriate using qualitative and quantitative data
∎ Ensure compliance of all DAM policies including due awareness and sensitivity to all national and international convention by all sector/project teams as relevant
∎ Participate in all key events and provide technical support to different forums of DAM as and when required including appraising DAM management of the progress of Programme Division
∎ Networking and play issue based advocacy role with the government, key development partners/relevant stakeholders and engage the teams accordingly.
∎ Working as SDG Focal Point of DAM for Education and TVET to promote and document DAM's SDG related activities/programmes.

∎ Resource mobilization support
∎ Identify and promote replicable model and new programmatic scope in collaboration with Sector/project teams
∎ Exploring the resource opportunities in collaboration with project teams and supporting the teams for appraising the options, preparing quality proposals, and submitting to donors
∎ Contribute in developing solicited/unsolicited new projects in line with DAM objectives and submitting to appropriate funding agencies
∎ Support to the efforts for DAM branding and its dissemination externally through establishing and maintaining relations with government, media and civil society.
∎ Ensure donor coherence to avoid overlap and/or duplication of project submission to donors.
∎ Facilitate complementary project development to bring synergy by combining cross-sector components.

∎ Administrative support
∎ Provide support to programme/project teams for executing the budget in line with the updated Delegation of Authority (DOA).
∎ Establishing formal reporting arrangements on programme or project progress by the education and TVET sectors
∎ Oversee compliance of financial management of the projects and audit reports
∎ Assist the programme/project managers/coordinators to keep up the performance of delegated responsibility as determined in annual performance appraisal
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme's goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 55 years
∎ At least 15 years of professional experience in implementing education programme activities. Minimum 05 years as Senior Management equivalent to Assistant Director and above level in a reputed organization.
∎ Understand of development programmes with special focus on education programme.
∎ Programme development, planning, organizing, monitoring and evaluation of the project.
∎ Human resources management and development.
∎ Annual review reflection, reporting and representation.
∎ Leadership and strategic guidance to project and staff team members.
∎ Ability to coordinate well with the government and other stakeholders
∎ NGO partnership management and networking.
∎ Campaign and advocacy strategies.
∎ Fluency in English both spoken and written required
∎ Innovative mind set, accommodative and knowledge of IKP.
∎ Pro-active, identifying opportunities and mechanisms to broaden access to work areas
∎ Self-starter and take initiative
∎ Strong ability to implement innovative ideas to improve process management.
∎ Strong relation-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
∎ Ability to solve problems and prompt decision-making skills
∎ Strong team player
∎ Ability to maintain strong integrity on behalf of the organization
∎ Strong organizational skills and experience managing multiple education projects at once.
∎ The ability to work on a team with diverse demographic and cultural characteristics, as well as the flexibility to virtually & physically, meet with people in multiple locations.
∎ Computer competencies.
