Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, rotating equipment, hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, gear systems and utility equipment.
Ability to identify issues quickly and provide effective solutions.
Good communication skills, teamwork mindset, responsibility and problem-solving ability.
Must be willing to work in shifts and under pressure.
Responsibilities & Context:
Ensure smooth operation, monitoring and maintenance of all mechanical machinery and production equipment within the factory.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues related to production lines, packaging machines, pumps, conveyors, boilers, chillers, compressors, gearboxes and utility equipment.
Perform routine Preventive & Predictive Maintenance to reduce machine downtime and improve efficiency.
Assist in installation, alignment, testing and commissioning of new mechanical equipment and machinery.
Maintain maintenance records, service logs, checklists and daily reports.
Monitor spare parts inventory, recommend replacements and ensure availability of essential mechanical parts.
Maintain strict compliance with factory safety protocols, food safety guidelines and mechanical safety standards.
Work closely with production, electrical and quality teams to ensure uninterrupted factory operations.
Any task assigned by the management from time to time.
