• Strong experience with: Linux Systems, Cloud Infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP), Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform / Ansible, CI/CD tools, Monitoring systems

Position Overview

The DevOps Engineer / Sr. Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and scaling high-performance and secure infrastructure solutions for enterprise applications. The role ensures automation, continuous integration & deployment, system reliability, cloud optimization, and infrastructure security for both on-premises and cloud environments. This position plays a critical role in enabling rapid development cycles and reliable releases across the organization.

Key Accountabilities & Activities

A. Infrastructure Design & Scaling

• Architect and implement scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure.
• Build and optimize hybrid and cloud-native platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP / On-Prem).
• Design container-based architectures using Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
• Develop infrastructure solutions aligned with microservices and distributed systems.
• Optimize cost, performance, and reliability of infrastructure resources.

B. DevOps Automation & CI/CD

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, etc.
• Automate provisioning, configuration, and deployments using Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation.
• Implement automated build, test, release, and rollback mechanisms.
• Support versioning, branching strategies, and release governance.

C. Monitoring, Reliability & Incident Management

• Configure monitoring, alerting, and logging systems (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Zabbix).
• Lead incident response, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and prevention actions.
• Implement SRE practices including SLIs, SLOs, SLAs, and error budgets.
• Maintain system reliability and uptime across production environments.

D. Security, Compliance & Risk Management

• Implement security best practices across infrastructure (IAM, VPC, WAF, TLS, etc.).
• Conduct system hardening, patching, and vulnerability assessments.
• Ensure compliance with standards (ISO, NIST, SOC, etc. depending on company policy).
• Integrate DevSecOps practices into CI/CD pipelines.

E. Collaboration, Documentation & Leadership

• Work closely with development, product, QA, and SQA teams for smooth delivery.
• Mentor and guide junior DevOps engineers.
• Prepare architecture diagrams, SOPs, runbooks, and technical documentation.
• Participate in cross-functional planning and release management discussions.
