Responsibilities & Context:
Lead recruitment, manpower planning, and talent management for garments factory operations (cutting, sewing, finishing, washing units)
Implement HR policies and procedures aligned with organizational goals and RMG industry standards
Oversee employee relations, grievance handling, and disciplinary procedures for workers and staff
Manage workforce planning considering production targets and shipment deadlines
Supervise overall administrative activities including security (preventing fabric/trim pilferage), transport, and facility management
Ensure proper documentation, record keeping, and asset management (fabric store, trims, production tools)
Maintain coordination between departments (cutting, sewing, finishing, washing, packing) for smooth operations
Monitor absenteeism (especially post-festival), labor turnover, and employee engagement initiatives
Ensure compliance with Bangladesh Labour Law and buyer Code of Conduct
Prepare factory for internal and external audits (BSCI, SEDEX/SMETA, WRAP, ISO, etc.)
Monitor workplace safety including fire, electrical safety, needle control, and PPE usage
Implement Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) for audit findings and ensure timely closure
Work closely with Participation Committee (PC) and worker representatives.
Ensure compliance with Bangladesh Labor Law, buyer requirements, and factory policies.
Maintain compliance documents for audits such as BSCI, SEDEX, WRAP, RSC, and buyer audits.
Maintain effective worker-management relations in a large garments workforce
Handle grievances, disputes, and negotiations (OT distribution, attendance, incentives)
Ensure proper functioning of Participation Committee and Safety Committee as per Labour Law
Take preventive measures to avoid labor unrest and ensure smooth production
