Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Deputy Manager - Supply Chain Operations at Halda Valley Food & Beverage Ltd. located in Chattogram. The Deputy Manager will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day supply chain operations, coordinating with vendors and suppliers, managing inventory and logistics, organizing and tracking deliveries from suppliers to customers, and ensuring that all products meet quality and safety standards. He / She will be responsible for smooth operations throughout the supply chain process.
Job Responsibilities
Planning and implementing supply chain strategies that meet organizational goals.
Analyze data from shipping and delivering processes to find bottlenecks and other issues.
Establishes performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of factors affecting the supply chain.
Preparing reports detailing inventory levels and other supply chain data as needed.
Read and comprehend legal documents, such as contracts or import/export agreements.
Monitor logistics to make sure they run smoothly.
Maintain supply chain inventory and records.
Find cost-effective solutions for supply chain processes.
Analyzes current inventories and procedures; suggests improvements to increase efficiency of supply chain and profitability for the company.
Develops policies to increase efficiency throughout the supply chain while ensuring quality and safety; implements subsequent changes to processes.
Resolve issues that come up (e.g. delays in delivery, accidents).
Collaborate with other departments to create coordinated plans for business growth.
Ensure supply chain processes meet legal requirements and standards.
Communicate and negotiate with suppliers and vendors to land more profitable deals.
Analyzing PR (Purchase Requisitions), Preparing CS (Comparative Statement), and Issuing of PO (Purchase Orders) and following it up till final delivery.
Establishing solid base of suppliers, vendors & service providers for supplies, spares, consumables, commercial & logistics service providers.
Manage vendor and supplier selection process based on price, quality, support, capacity and reliability.
Manage supplier relationships to ensure value, innovation and continuous improvement while understanding.
Monitoring market price of Materials and updating market intelligence.
