Responsibilities & Context:
Routine Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform daily inspection, preventive, and corrective maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment, including batching plants, asphalt mixers, conveyors, compressors, and generators to minimize downtime.
Design and Development: Creating new vehicle designs, including engines, transmissions, chassis, and other systems.
Testing and Validation: Conducting simulations, testing prototypes, and evaluating performance to ensure safety and reliability.
Research and Innovation: Staying updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to incorporate into vehicle designs.
Technical Documentation: Preparing reports, specifications, and other documentation related to design and testing.
Problem Solving: Identifying and resolving engineering issues in both prototypes and production units.
Collaboration: Working with other engineers, designers, and stakeholders to achieve project goals.
Spare Parts Management: Maintain proper inventory of critical spare parts, initiate procurement requests, and ensure timely replacement of worn-out components to avoid production interruptions.
Safety & Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out following standard safety protocols, lockout-tagout (LOTO) procedures, and comply with environmental and quality standards (ISO, BSTI, etc.).
