Job Purpose

  • BRAC Microfinance has a vast and complex Technology system in place to support its 35,000+ staff spread around 2,800+ offices across Bangladesh. This huge network of people and process require robust Technology support, both software and hardware, to ensure seamless operations both at head office and field.

  • The purpose of this role will be to streamline & stabilize existing Data Warehouse & Reporting functions, lead in designing, purchasing & launching a state-of-the-art Data Warehouse & Business Intelligence platform to support Microfinance’s vision of data-driven-decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • To engage in rebuilding and organising the Data Warehouse & Reporting team.

  • To support in building strategy for existing Data Warehouse & Reporting System by reviewing the infrastructure & application support status, data archive & retention, disaster recovery options, input & output data processing flow and stakeholders’ expectations.

  • To assist in executing strategy for a future Data Warehouse & Business Intelligence platforms, lead the team in developing requirements, driving purchase process & launch a state-of-the-art new platform aligning all stakeholders.

  • To involve in the process of design, implementation, maintenance and support of Data Warehouse & Business Intelligence systems and related data marts to ensure the availability of data for decision-making.

  • To ensue reliability and availability of all data and ensure work according to benchmark standards.

  • To drive all maintenance and development processes and implement relevant compliances & guidelines.

  • To participate in relevant cross-functional projects & activities.

SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.

  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.

  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
