Responsibilities & Context:
Play a pivotal role in integrating sustainability practices into Akij Resources Ltd, driving environmental responsibility, and fostering a culture of social and ethical consciousness.
Drive and implement operational excellence initiatives to optimize efficiency, streamline processes, and enhance overall performance within Akij Resources
Oversee and manage all maintenance and repair activities for the mother vessel/lighter vessel.
Ensure the vessels comply with flag/class/DoS and other statutory regulations in maintenance.
Coordinate with relevant authorities for inspections and audits.
Issue guidance and arrange technical support to the vessels.
Coordinate with shipyard facilities for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks.
Inspect vessels regularly to confirm the PMS being maintained.
Validate and approve the procurement of stores, spare parts, equipment and materials required for the vessels.
Monitor and control inventory of stores, spare parts, equipment and materials.
Develop and manage maintenance budget.
Implement measures to control costs while maintaining safety and quality standards.
Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with the company`s business objectives and operational requirements.
