• 5 + years in the Shipping industry and 2 years as Chief Engineer

• Play a pivotal role in integrating sustainability practices into Akij Resources Ltd, driving environmental responsibility, and fostering a culture of social and ethical consciousness.

• Drive and implement operational excellence initiatives to optimize efficiency, streamline processes, and enhance overall performance within Akij Resources

• Oversee and manage all maintenance and repair activities for the mother vessel/lighter vessel.

• Ensure the vessels comply with flag/class/DoS and other statutory regulations in maintenance.

• Coordinate with relevant authorities for inspections and audits.

• Issue guidance and arrange technical support to the vessels.

• Coordinate with shipyard facilities for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks.

• Inspect vessels regularly to confirm the PMS being maintained.

• Validate and approve the procurement of stores, spare parts, equipment and materials required for the vessels.

• Monitor and control inventory of stores, spare parts, equipment and materials.

• Develop and manage maintenance budget.

• Implement measures to control costs while maintaining safety and quality standards.

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with the company`s business objectives and operational requirements.
