Job Context:
∎ Partners in Health and Development (PHD) is a Bangladeshi development organization has been working in the public health sector for last 30 years and currently implementing different projects in 24 districts. PHD always offers something `extra` to the programme and DPs by applying innovation in inclusion, adaptation, sustainability, accessibility, acceptability and resource mobilisation. To further strengthen PHD`s capacity, it is going to hire a dynamic, innovative and capable Deputy Director in its Programme.
∎ Job Purpose
∎ This is a senior level position and will be responsible for providing programme designing, management and operational support to the programme team. Incumbent will be a core staff of the organization and by default she/he will be a member of `Senior Management Team` (SMT). Incumbent will be engaged with multi-dimensional activities including managing a number of projects on behalf of PHD.
∎ Duty Station: Dhaka with extensive travelling to project sites
∎ Reportable to: Director, PHD

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Broad Responsibilities:
∎ A successful Deputy Director must have a broad knowledge of programme management principles, have a strategic mindset as well as be able to lead and develop their subordinates.
∎ The broad objectives include (but not limited to):
∎ Initiating and setting goals for programmes according to the strategic objectives of the organization
∎ Design and develop programmes/ projects using innovative ideas
∎ Planning the programmes from start to completion involving deadlines, milestones and processes
∎ Explore opportunities for further programme Development including writing programme funding proposals;
∎ Explore programme visibility through operational research, developing periodic reports, case studies etc,
∎ Discover ways to enhance efficiency and productivity of procedures and people
∎ Represent the organization and maintain liaison with different NGOs, donors, UN organizations, GoB and other potential clients for market development

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 8 years of proven experience as similar position or other managerial position in development sector (NGO/INGO)
∎ Must have Post graduate degree in any of the following; social science, public health, population science, anthropology, social welfare, social work, etc. or equivalent from any reputed university.
∎ Demonstrated experience in programme designing, proposal development and fund rising
∎ Proven experience in programme management.
∎ Proven stakeholder management skills.
∎ Proven experience managing a team.
∎ Excellent Knowledge of performance evaluation techniques and key metrics with knowledge of data analysis, reporting and budgeting
∎ Excellent organizational and leadership skills,
∎ An analytical mindset with great problem-solving abilities, negotiation and communication skills
∎ Fluent in writing and speaking in English is must
∎ Experience using computers for a variety of tasks with Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Salary:
∎ Negotiable (applicants are requested to figure-out last drawing salary in BDT)
