Educational Requirements:

Job Context:
∎ Location: Based at CARE Cox`s Bazar Regional Office.
∎ Duration: Duration of the contract will be for 03 years
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible experience in development project management (USAID Program Management required); previous Deputy Chief of Party, or senior management experience in disaster risk reduction and humanitarian assistance.
∎ Proven exceptional leadership in the design, management, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of similar-sized international donor-supported programs, with skills in strategic planning and thinking, management, supervision and budgeting, and experience managing complex activities involving coordination with multiple program partner institutions.
∎ Substantial project management experience (planning, monitoring, evaluation) in humanitarian context, including in a leading position.
∎ Demonstrated skills building and maintaining relationships with governments, donors, other donor-funded projects and stakeholders, local organizations, and partners.
∎ Strong oral and written communication skills; excellent demonstrated interpersonal and negotiation skills.
∎ Previous experience with the culture and context of South Asia/ Bangladesh is required.
∎ Experience in narrative and financial reporting on complex projects to international donors.
∎ Demonstrated commitment to gender equity and inclusion.
∎ Experience in developing strategies and resource mobilization plans.
∎ Experience in recruiting, developing, and managing staff and teams.
∎ Track record of strong commitment to sharing knowledge, documenting experiences, supporting creative initiatives, and sharing credit.
∎ Experience working and collaborating with diverse sets of stakeholders, such as local NGOs, government officials, donor representatives, local and international staff.
∎ Demonstrated knowledge about gender and development, and demonstrated experience and proficiency in managing programs that mainstream gender.
∎ Demonstrated ability to implement projects with rigorous timelines and deliverables and to track program quality through donor approved monitoring and evaluation systems.
∎ Ability to respond on short notice and plan and execute several activities at once.
∎ Ability to work under pressure, as part of a team or independently, and meet deadlines consistently.
∎ Proven experience hiring, training, and supervising teams of international and local staff.
∎ Proven leadership, inter-personal and cross-cultural skills, and ability to build and motivate diverse teams.
∎ Excellent English oral and written communication skills; knowledge of Bangla strongly preferred.
∎ Computer proficiency in MS words, MS-Excel, MS Access, MS PowerPoint.
∎ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
