Beyond technical prowess, the data Scientist will need soft skills for clearly communicating highly complex data trends to organisational leaders.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Conduct in-depth analysis of large and complex datasets to identify patterns, correlations, and trends that provide valuable insights.
∎ Collaborate with business stakeholders to define and refine data requirements, objectives, and success criteria for analytical projects.
∎ Develop and implement machine learning models for predictive and prescriptive analytics to support decision-making processes.
∎ Create and deliver clear, concise, and compelling data visualisations, reports, and presentations to communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
∎ Work with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities where data science can drive business growth and efficiency.
∎ Stay updated with the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and related technologies, and apply these insights to enhance analytical capabilities.
∎ Collaborate with data engineers to ensure data availability, accuracy, and quality for analysis.
∎ Participate in data-driven research projects and experiments that address specific business challenges.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 40 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, R etc. for data analysis and modelling.
∎ Experience with building recommendation engines or personalized recommendation engines.
∎ Knowledge with SQL and relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL etc.).
∎ Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka.
∎ Solid understanding of machine learning techniques, algorithms, and frameworks.
∎ Experience with data manipulation and cleaning using tools like Pandas, NumPy, etc.
∎ Familiarity with data visualisation libraries and tools such as Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly, etc.
∎ Experience with cloud platforms and big data technologies (e.g., AWS etc) is a plus.
∎ Knowledge of data modelling, ETL processes, and data visualisation/exploration tools.
∎ Knowledge of data governance, data security, and compliance standards.
∎ Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work with complex and unstructured data.
∎ Strong presentation and communication skills to convey complex findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
∎ Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and lead data-driven initiatives.
∎ Publications or contributions to the data science community and open-source projects are a bonus.
∎ Fluency in writing and speaking in English is a must.
