Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 5 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Perform hardware installations including cabinets/racks, shelves, power strips, cable management, and customer equipment (servers and network devices).
∎ Design, develop, implement, and manage servers, storage, and other aspects of data center.
∎ Configures, installs, repairs, and troubleshoots issues related to hardware performance on servers, SAN and network equipment in a raised floor data center environment.
∎ Work with Data Center Manager to create a knowledge base, troubleshoot scripts and maintain known error documentation.
∎ Work with the server engineering teams to standardize the provisioning and decommissioning process for Windows/Linux servers.
∎ Experiences in vRealize Cloud Management includes VMware vRealize Suite, VMware vCloud Suite.
∎ Expert experiences in VMware vCloud Director.
∎ Experiences with Red Hat OpenStack Cloud Infrastructure.
∎ Responsible for Asset and Infrastructure Change Management processes within the Data Center.
∎ Repair servers (replace hard drives; replace bad sticks of RAM, etc.)
∎ Maintains documentation, inventory sheets, technical schematics and diagrams.
∎ Experience in blade chassis infrastructure server.
∎ Upgrade BIOS and device firmware on the blade servers, and IBM servers, VMWare virtual machines and MS Security patches to all servers including service packs, and perform any other planned maintenance activities on an established cycle.
∎ Perform planned Operating System upgrades in conjunction with the Server engineering team.
∎ Monitor and manage systems performance and capacity.
∎ Excellent understanding of storage, network, and hardware technologies.
∎ Configure and maintain hosted web applications.
∎ Provisioning and creation of virtual server instances.
∎ Implement and maintain health monitoring and alerting of servers.
Additional Requirements:
∎ 5+ Years of System/Server Administrator experience with Linux based Server (Red Hat, Ubuntu, CentOS), Windows Server 2016/2019, IIS, SMTP, SQL Server, Active Directory, Networking, Storage & Backup Solutions.
∎ RHCSA/RHCE, MCSA/MCSE, CCNA/CCNP, CEH/ECSA certification would be advantageous.
∎ VMware VCP-Cloud, OpenStack Administrator certifications would be advantageous.
∎ Experience in Windows Server 2016/2019 administration tasks, such as installation, configuration, management, lock down, security, patching and updating.
∎ Good knowledge of the different Cloud platforms.
∎ Ability to utilize effective techniques to determine root causes of problems, use tools and techniques for anticipating, recognizing and resolving operational problems, and identify and mitigate risk.
