Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Manage and oversee the entire import process, including customs clearance and compliance.
∎ Prepare and verify import-related documents (Bill of Entry, LC, Invoice, Packing List, etc.
∎ Coordinate with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to ensure timely delivery of goods.
∎ Liaise with government agencies (Customs, NBR, etc.) to ensure smooth processing of shipments.
∎ Maintain and update customs-related records, licenses, and permits.
∎ Prepare and submit required documentation for import shipments.
∎ Monitor changes in import policies, tariffs, and regulations and ensure adherence.
∎ Resolve any issues related to import shipments, including delays, penalties, or discrepancies.
∎ Optimize import processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs where possible.
∎ Maintain records of all import activities, including documentation and costs.
