Educational Requirements:
∎ Master's in social studies/archeology/ anthropology/ folklore /mass communications / journalism /art crafts or other relevant subject minimum equivalent to second class.
Job Context:
∎ The Curator is responsible to maintain and preserve North West indigenous people`s livelihoods related objects, documents or whole collections of historical transcripts, histories, artwork, photography and other important stuff of the North West indigenous people culture and heritage;
∎ The Curator is responsible to plan and collect artefacts or works of art of North West Indigenous people;
∎ The role is required to lead to collects, cares , researches, and interprets a collection, and organizes displays and exhibitions in the heritage center;
∎ The Curator will develop and maintain internal and external communications create opportunities for community participation in the collection process of different indigenous objects;
∎ The role is requires to lead on the preparation and production of communication materials (e.g. Newsletter, brushier , best practices, stories, press statements, public reports, and publications).S/he will require leading advocacy efforts on specific advocacy priorities;
∎ Maintain the website of the Heritage Center in a regular basis;
∎ The Curator will maintain indigenous heritage center and different galleries;
∎ The Curator is responsible to maintain the library of the heritage center;
∎ He/She is responsible for linkage building and regular communication with different historical societies and universities;
∎ He/She should pro-poor and gender sensitive and responsive.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ MANAGEMENT
∎ Maintain continuous coordination with Senior Programme Manager-Social and Economic Development , OittojjoTheke Shikhon team, donor as wells with GBK management when necessary.
∎ PLANNING AND EXECUTION
∎ Preparation of Plan for regular and periodic basis.
∎ Conduct different orientation/ training for staff and stakeholder level related to the OittojjoTheke Shikhon activities
∎ Conduct different meetings/seminar and take lead to observe National/International days/festivals related to the Indigenous people.
∎ Identification, list down of different indigenous cultural teams/ indigenous resource persons and plan for regular prgrammes
∎ List down community base indigenous learning villages/homes and link with the Heritage center learning process
∎ To assess the effectiveness of implementation strategy and provide feedback with suggestions to the management.
∎ Periodic review the target and achievement in accordance with the yearly target along with quality & quantity
∎ Report preparation (Monthly/Quarterly/Six monthly/Yearly) in connection with the target and achievement
∎ Ensure all relevant record keeping in place
∎ Assist to internal- external visit team as and required.
∎ MAINTENANCE
∎ Develop check list of all the objects, documents or whole collections of historical transcripts, histories, artwork, photography and other important paraphernalia of the North West indigenous people culture and heritage and maintain in a regular basis
∎ Maintain and take necessary security measures to protect the Heritage center's assets and properties.
∎ Able to think creatively and to translate creative thinking into visible outputs
∎ DOCUMENTATION ,MONITORING ,EVALUATION AND REPORTING
∎ Overall responsible for documentation case study, success story, newsletter, brushier , best practices, stories, press statements, public reports, and publications).
∎ Maintain the website in a regular basis.
∎ Assist to the management to generate monthly, periodic/Annual report
∎ on the related activities
∎ Provide report to the management as required by the management,
∎ donor and other counterpart.
∎ SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
∎ Good interpersonal, communication, negotiation and facilitation skills.
∎ Excellent verbal and written language skills in both English and Bengali as well good editing skills
∎ Good knowledge of the political context and key policies relating to women's and girls' rights of Indigenous & Dalits
∎ Knowledge of key organizations, advocacy coalitions and movements at local and national level
∎ Computer skills, including knowledge of relevant software e.g. Microsoft office, photo editing software Competencies
∎ Able to present information and express opinions confidently to internal and external audiences
∎ Demonstrates openness to new ideas, seeks out new opportunities
∎ Able to communicate ideas and information in writing to ensure that information and messages are understood and have the desired impact.
∎ CAPACITY BUILDING
∎ Skill development of staff/ team members and project beneficiaries organizing formal/on the job training for enhancing their capacities on different culture, heritage and traditions
∎ COORDINATION AND COMMUNICATION
∎ Coordinate and Maintain continuous coordination with Chief Executive-GBK and Senior Programme Manager-Social and Economic Development, H-F&AC,
∎ Coordinate and making effective communication, linkage with Upazilla/district level cultural academy, language institutions, Universities,
∎ IN ADDITION THE CURATOR WILL PERFORM THE FOLLOWINGS CLAUSE
∎ Work effectively with other people within a work group
∎ Performed quality activities in timely manner.
∎ Stay in working station
∎ Beyond the above mentioned activities would be performed the assigned task time to time from management in relation to project as well as organization.
∎ GBK authority reserves the right to review/re-arrangement/addition in this Job description from time to time.
