Job Context:
∎ An International Child Rights Organization based in Europe, over six decades of solidity has been serving and supporting vulnerable and marginalized children and youth. Partners with local non-governmental organizations to implement various projects in over 30+ Countries in different parts of the globe, to include Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean. The Organisation is now on the lookout for an experienced, committed and dynamic personality to join our set of professionals.
∎ Country Coordinator: The Country Coordinator (CC) is the key position of the Organisation in Bangladesh and will represent of the Organisation in the country. S/he maintains strong links with the national and international partners and government agencies. The CC will lead the country office team and ensure the development and implementation of country strategies of the Organisation. The key roles of the CCare to (a) lead the team and supervise all staff of the Organisationin Bangladesh; (b) strengthen the office in the country; (c) ensure quality management of the projects supported by the Organisation; (d) coordinate project development to sustain a viable funding pipeline; (e) manage the office by overseeing the administration, and financial functions; (f) update regional and head office on a regular basis of the overall situation in the country.
∎ Job Nature: Regular and Fulltime
∎ Location: Dhaka with frequent field visit

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Contribute fully to the planning and development of a new country strategy for Bangladesh and oversee all related functions.
∎ Ensure funds are directed to the right causes, meeting the policy and purpose.
∎ Provide leadership and clarity on project management standards and training and guidance as necessary.
∎ Oversee and report on the development and delivery of the agreed programme portfolio.
∎ Scan the NGO-scene on a regular basis and report to the Head Office on the developments and the forecasted funds need.
∎ Ascertain the pipeline of projects and inform all relevant departments (regional/global).
∎ Ensure proper project management, quality assurance and evaluation procedures.
∎ Steer the process of project development and technical compliance for all projects funded.
∎ Periodically review the current capabilities/resources to support new market expansion.
∎ Build and maintain excellent relationships with partners, stakeholders, etc. to ensure integrated and joined-up planning and delivery of agreed project development objectives.
∎ Manage staff including planning, recruitment, assigning tasks, motivation, performance assessment, and capacity development as well as dealing employee relationship issues and resolving problems.
∎ Represent and raise the profile and visibility of the Organisationin Bangladesh, maintaining strong working relationships with partners, national and international NGOs
∎ Serve as the primary point of contact in Bangladesh to the registration authority and other relevant government agencies
∎ Take overall responsibility for the management of the office, including annual budgeting, risk analysis and financial reporting.
∎ Proactively contribute to fund-raising efforts by identifying relevant initiatives, developing a close network with donors, coordinating the preparation of proposals, and providing strong intellectual inputs
∎ Lead the country-level communications outreach activities, partnerships and knowledge management.
∎ Bring issues related to administration and finance to the timely attention of the relevant departments and functional units within the Organisation.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Required Qualifications, Competencies:
∎ Have minimum 5 years' experience in a senior position or similar capacity.
∎ Have excellent command on both oral and written English communication skills.
∎ Possess excellent understanding of project management principles.
∎ Carry experience in the field of international development cooperation.
∎ Hold a solid background and understanding of child rights programming and be a passionate promoter of child rights.
∎ Ability to work with, manage and guide the team.
∎ Have proven experience in engaging with national and regional networks and building strong partnerships with different stakeholders.
∎ Demonstrate excellent communication skills including the ability to provide critical yet constructive feedback both internally as well as towards partners.
∎ Demonstrate effective project management through the setting of programmes goals, intermediate milestones and prioritization of activities.
∎ Demonstrate skills in managing personnel, including experience of forming, operating in and leading interdisciplinary teams that have delivered high-quality outputs on time and according to budget.
∎ Capacity to write proposals and reports, and to communicate research results to stakeholders at different management levels
∎ Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers and other stakeholders in a multicultural setting, with sensitivity and respect for diversity.
∎ Be an experienced and result oriented professional in the range of 35 to 55 years.
∎ Required Aptitude:
∎ Demonstrated a high standard of professional integrity, honesty, self-reflection, and responsiveness to change as well asthe commitment to diversity and non-communal attitude
∎ Proven ability to works with others, builds productive relationships and collaborations across boundaries.
