Job Context:
∎ Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) is a National NGO with Consultative Status with UN ECOSOC and UNESCO. It works for social and spiritual development of the community. Founded with the motto of `Divine and Humanitarian Service`, over 62 years DAM has been serving the human community for improved living conditions enhancing people`s capacities to multi-dimensional field programs and inner potentials.
∎ Dhaka Ahsania Mission is implementing the project in the name Drop In Centre for Street & Working Children In Dhaka City with the financial support of DAM-UK and Read Foundation January 2019 at Mohammadpur and Jatrabari in Dhaka City. Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) Invites applications for the following positions for immediate appointment in ongoing project.
∎ Project Name: DIC & NS
∎ Duty Station: Mohammadpur & Jatrabari Project office
∎ Initial Contract up to December 2023.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Proper Assessment of beneficiaries.
∎ Maintain record and submit timely reports on activities and recommendation.
∎ Provide Counseling individual and group for street and working children and their family members.
∎ Manage Crisis Situation (Of occur).
∎ Conduct Psycho Social education Sessions.
∎ Maintain Confidentiality Of all beneficiaries' data.
∎ Maintain Close liaison with other relevant professionals like Psychiatrists, Case management etc.
∎ Record keeping and maintain all kind of Forms/registers, reports, File, Guideline and Others Documents.
∎ Assist to prepare monthly, quarterly and others periodical reports as per the treatment centre's guidelines.
∎ Participating in different Training, meeting, workshop, seminar, symposiums organized by the project.
∎ Work with the team for assessing need of psychosocial service (PSS) and specialized mental health support among the target group.
∎ Provide distance or face to face counseling to individual children and parents.
∎ Perform any other duties as and when required.
∎ Others: Be able and willing to respond to natural disasters or emergency situations, when needed and any other task assigned by Supervisor and /or Senior Management of DAM.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At list 2-3 years of experience in counseling service at street and working children context.
∎ Good community mobilization skill, excellent linkage building.
∎ Effective Interpersonal communication Skill.
∎ Operational decision making.
∎ Key Competencies to acquire and practices:
∎ Team facilitator and mentor.
∎ Coordination and Communication and well Conversant in both Bengali and English language.
∎ Innovative mindset, accommodative and knowledge of project activities.
Salary:
∎ BDT 24,000 per month.
