Experience:

• 5 to 7 years

• Bachelor/Honors

• 5 to 7 years

• Strong understanding of fabric, garment construction, consumption breakdown, and production methods.

• In-depth knowledge of chemical and wash processes, and how they impact both quality and cost.

• Proven track record in negotiating with suppliers and manufacturers, ensuring both value and compliance.

• High level of competence in reading and analyzing tech packs, materials, and technical specifications.

• 5-7 years of solid experience in garment costing,in both woven & knit apparel and competitive price segments.

• Experience working with European supermarket chains or hypermarket retailers is highly preferred.

• Demonstrated ability to build and manage a strong sourcing network across Bangladesh.

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to justify cost logic in internal and external discussions.

• Accurate attention to detail, logical mindset, and the ability to work under pressure in a deadline-driven environment.

Job Context

• Reliable Sourcing limited is a fast-paced and quality-driven garment buying house working with reputed European brands and global retailers. We are currently looking for a sharp, aggressive, and detail-oriented Costing Specialist (Woven) who thrives in a challenging environment and understands the business of garment sourcing inside out.

Core Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with the design and development team to prepare cost estimates for new styles during development phases.

• Conduct accurate and detailed cost analysis for woven garments, ensuring alignment with product specifications and price targets.

• Interpret tech packs and technical documentation with precision to understand true cost drivers.

• Analyze fabric, trims, chemicals, wash processes, and other input costs to identify cost efficiency opportunities without compromising quality.

• Prepare and maintain precise cost sheets for all bulk production orders, ensuring compliance with buyer expectations and internal pricing strategies.

• Lead price negotiations with garment factories, securing the best possible rates while maintaining quality and delivery commitments.

• Proactively identify and evaluate alternative sourcing options to optimize cost and minimize risk.

• Stay updated on market trends, supplier conditions, and raw material price fluctuations to guide sourcing decisions.

• Achieve target prices set by the Head Office.

• Engage in strategic meetings with Directors to align costing decisions with business goals.

• Take ownership of internal ERP follow-ups, production space booking, and coordination of development timelines to ensure smooth order execution.

• Provide insightful cost-reduction recommendations while ensuring product integrity and buyer compliance.
