Job Context:
∎ Care Nutrition Ltd. (CNL) is the Bangladesh subsidiary of Frontier Nutrition, Inc., a U.S. company based in New Haven, Connecticut. We are currently looking for a Contract Manufacturing Manager.
∎ The Contract Manufacturing Manager is responsible for managing the current Contract Manufacturing network for Care Nutrition Limited and creating the strategy to actively seek out and engage new Contract Manufacturing prospects. This position will partner directly with the Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations groups to provide a complete and appropriate manufacturing and product solution designed to boost top-line revenue growth, increase profitability, and maximize asset utilization.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsible for driving the CNL culture through company Core Values, Integrity, Commitment to Excellence, and Accountability
∎ Accountable for outstanding Customer service to all internal and external Customers
∎ Develop and maintain effective relationships through collaboration and consistent timely communication
∎ Help uphold a "Team Member" environment supporting others with positive behavior
∎ Responsibility for all Contract Manufacturing activities for CNL
∎ Project management of initial production setup of both new Contract Manufacturers and new products
∎ Develop and implement strategies to optimize the CNL Contract Manufacturing network
∎ Develop and maintain partnerships with Contract Manufacturers to ensure supply certainty, to reduce costs, and to adhere to product specifications
∎ Strive to ensure the lowest delivered costs
∎ Develop and maintain key information for all Contract Manufacturing including, but not limited to, terms, conditions, SKUs, and pricing (broken down into components)
∎ Responsible for maintaining appropriate inventory levels (ingredients, packaging materials, and finished goods as appropriate), and satisfactory service levels
∎ Negotiate and enforce adherence to Contract Manufacturing Agreement (contracts); determine pricing systems; analyze sourcing alternatives
∎ Support Marketing and R&D with sourcing new and alternate Contract Manufacturers for both new and existing products as necessary
∎ Develop and review standard costs with Operations, Finance and Marketing
∎ Assist with the preparation of the annual operating budgets
∎ Responsibility to adhere to Food Safety policies and report food safety and quality concerns to their supervisor
∎ Other activities and duties as assigned by the management.
Additional Requirements:
∎ 6-8 years food manufacturing experience required
∎ Successful track record of effectively managing 3rd party manufacturers, vendors, and/or significant business relationships - including strong negotiating skills
∎ Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills required
∎ Must have strong verbal and written communications skills with ability to express ideas effectively and efficiently
∎ Must have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
∎ Ability to establish & maintain effective working relationships with all contacts inside and outside of the company
∎ TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
∎ Travel up to 75%-80% of the time is expected
∎ Travel may be required with little prior warning and/or for extended periods of time
∎ Proactive, self-motivated, accountable, and transparent
∎ Can-Do attitude with the fighting spirit to take on established competitors
∎ Proven experience in Production and or Contract Manufacturing
∎ Good Professional company background with proven success record in previous roles will be an advantage
∎ Understanding of business functions such as Marketing, Finance, and Operations etc.
∎ Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
∎ Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills
∎ Strong analytical skills that drive decision-making and problem-solving.
