Job Context:
∎ Contract period: 30th June 2020 (with the possibility of extension based on performance)
∎ Line Manager: Team Leader & Officer
∎ Liaison With: Emergency Livelihoods team members and other DCA programme staff, including GBV and Education team members
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Implementation:
∎ Responsible for community mobilization for project activities in Rohingya refugee camps and host communities
∎ Organize community consultations, trainings, orientations and sessions for entrepreneurship and business management, vocational and life skills development, site improvement and social cohesion activities.
∎ Support the implementation of vocational and life skills assessments, Participatory Vulnerability and Capacity Assessments (PVCA) and KAP surveys.
∎ Assist the selection of beneficiaries for vocational and life skills, cash for work (CFW) and social cohesion interventions.
∎ Support CFW activities in targeted communities.
∎ Provide weekly work progress reports and updates to the respective supervisor.
∎ Provide support, supervision and guidance to volunteers
∎ Provide project participants with information regarding available services in the camps and host communities.
∎ Track and report on beneficiaries' attendance of Cash for Work (CFW) and Social cohesion sessions
∎ Financial management:
∎ Together with the supervisor, prepare payment documents for volunteers, other skilled labour, cash for work activities, as relevant.
∎ Monitoring:
∎ Collect post distribution monitoring (PDM) data.
∎ Together with the supervisor, conduct regular program monitoring.
∎ Coordination:
∎ Maintain close collaboration and coordination with GBV and Education team members throughout project implementation.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum two (2) years of progressively responsible experience with an NGO in vocational and life skills development, site improvement, DRR, social cohesion, entrepreneurship development, or economic recovery programmes.
∎ Experience working in complex humanitarian or development programmes in the NGO sector.
∎ Sound understanding of the local context.
∎ Experience organizing and facilitating trainings, workshops, campaigns and outreach activities for staff and different stakeholders.
∎ Experience undertaking vocational and life skills assessments, PVCAs and KAP surveys.
∎ Advanced training on vocational and life skills is preferable.
∎ Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision.
∎ Experience with community engagement and accountability.
∎ Knowledge of protection principles and minimum humanitarian standards.
